Psalm 126:5-6 (KJV) They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

I am glad to share this word with you because like me, many times you have sown precious financial seed. It seemed like a hard time to give but we did it anyway because we believed the Word of God, we knew we had a harvest on its way.

This scripture says that we will doubtless come again with joy, rejoicing.  There is supposed to be some joy in your giving.  You are not supposed to see yourself losing something.  You are supposed to see yourself increasing.

You see, God set this principle up so that He could care for His people independent of the system of the world.  So, the way you get increase is sow a seed and not work three jobs.  Sow a seed and God will make sure that you have more than enough.

Over in Philippians, Paul taught that to the Philippian church.

Philippians 4:15 (KJV) Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

Even in that day it was hard to receive.  For some reason people just wouldn’t receive.

In Jesus time, here’s what Jesus taught His disciples about giving,

Mark 10:28-30 (KJV) Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands (job), for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Jesus told us we are not going to just receive what we sowed but also a hundredfold now in this time.  You are going to receive it now in this time.  God wants us to get some thing right now in this time.

Many times, when we are giving, we are not receiving.  We need to stabilize our faith.  I mean, sow on purpose, give on purpose.  Truly the motive for giving is love but God wants to give something back to you.

Luke 6:38 (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

This is important because that’s the way God uses us to build His Kingdom.  He uses our sowing and our reaping so we can have more then enough when there is a need in the Kingdom to build, help the poor and so forth then people won’t have a problem giving but they will have joy in their giving because they are going to have more than enough.
