This scripture makes it clear about what is one of the biggest things that grieves the Holy Spirit; as when we allow foul, polluting language, evil words, bitterness come out of our mouth, when we act in wrath, getting impassioned and enraged with bad tempers and resentments and angers, when we brawl and when we slander and speak evil about people. That causes the Holy Spirit presence that is overshadowing us to flee. Holy Spirit never leaves us inside of our spirit man, but we also want Holy Spirit to overshadow us like He did Mary. When His presence overshadows us then miracles happen, mighty supernatural events and occurrences and signs and wonders take place; but when we use our mouth to speak evil, to be angry, to be bitter, to brawl and to abuse, to speak against people and slander them, Holy Spirit’s presence diminish from our lives and so does the miracle working realm.So right now, Holy Spirit we repent for grieving You with our words and our actions. We repent of speaking foul and polluting language. We repent of every evil word and unwholesome word that has come out of our mouth. We repent of worthless talk and of the bitterness and indignation and wrath and passions that we have displayed, any time that we have gotten into a rage or shown our bad temper, been resentful towards people, shown our anger and begin to quarrel and brawl and have clamor and have contention in our lives and slander people. We repent Holy Spirit. We ask that You wash us clean and cause us to never grieve You so that your presence that is overshadowing us will never flee or diminish. Holy Spirit search us out. Go to the root of why we are acting like this, Holy Spirit and we ask that You would heal us by the power of dunamis. Make us excellent of soul so we speak holy words, gratifying words, words that are good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, words that are fitting to the need and the occasion that would bring a blessing and God’s grace and favor to those that hear it. Let us always speak pure and act pure Holy Spirit so we do not grieve You and that Your presence is always in its fullness as it overshadows our lives. In Jesus Name. Amen.
