Each different kind of angel has their own assignment and are created for a certain purpose.
Angel’s assignment first of all is to worship God and declare His glory on the earth.
Isa 6:1-4 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.KJV
Rev 5:11-12 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, " Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing." NASU
Ps 148:2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! NASU
The angels worship the Lord and cry, “Holy, holy, holy…”

Rev 4:6-8 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. KJV
Angels operate around the temple of God, around the worship. The church building is not the temple of God. You are the temple of the living God on this earth, God lives inside your spirit.
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? KJV
When believers come together we build a habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. KJV
And the purpose of us gathering together on the earth is:
Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. KJV
God inhabits our praises and is enthroned on our praises. That’s why we must not get into a hurry when we gather together but wait on the presence of God to manifest and then we will enter into the spiritual atmosphere of heaven and anything supernatural can happen. You will feel the presence of God and His heavenly angels. The joy angels will show up and joy and laughter will fill the room. People will see visions. Others will be transported in the spirit by angels to assignments on the earth. This is the time for the open heaven to open up God’s interaction with the Church in the earth and make a difference supernaturally in this world. This is what will happen as we worship with the angels under an open heaven. This is our spiritual inheritance and it is a supernatural opportunity as heaven interrupts our dimension with the holy angels worshiping with us.
So angels are here in the earth in the spirit realm to accompany your worship. That is why you will feel a presence when you are truly worshiping. Yes, the Holy Spirit is present but there are also angels who have come to worship with you. They love to worship God. I hope you realize their presence in a worship service and you don’t allow anything to distract your worship. Heaven has truly come to worship with you. It is a time to focus on our wonderful God and his presence and join with the angels in worshipping Him. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you. Don’t let embarrassment stop you from truly worshiping our God.
There is a pattern of what a worship experience should be like and Hebrews shows us what it should look like:
Heb 12:22-24 But ye are come unto mount Sion… KJV
This is a picture of the Church and not a literal mountain and also “the city of the living God” speaks of the Church.
Heb 12:22-24 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,…
Hebrews 12 then tells us who is attending the service at mount Sion, first are the heavenly angels:
Heb 12:22-24 …and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heavenly Jerusalem in worship moves to the earthly gathering of the Church and then innumerable angels come as well. Angels are present in true worship so we should not fear their presence or manifestation of angels as we worship. They are there to first of all to worship God and then minister to us. They minister the joy of the Lord so that we are strengthened, the peace of God that passes all human understanding, the hope of God and so on.
Think of that, there are innumerable angels who join with us so we could say we had to many to count today in our worship service. I believe the angels are there to worship 24/7 they love God so much.
Who else is in attendance when we have true worship?
And next is the Church, which is us:
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven,
Then it tells us our heavenly Father is in attendance:
Heb 12:23 …and to God the Judge of all,
And then those who have died and gone to heaven are allowed to look in on our worship:
Heb 12:23 …and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
And last but certainly not least is our Lord Jesus Christ:
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling,… KJV
This is what is happening in worship. We shouldn’t control the worship service but we should allow God to have control and God will do things that out of human possibilities.
Hebrews speaks of the “city of the living God”. The Church is the “city of the living God”. Heavenly Jerusalem begins to move to the earthly gathering and an innumerable company of angels show up.
Here’s a picture of God showing up and the angels in the Old Testament and is a picture of what I believe we will see in this time as we gather together to worship God with His angels in true worship:
Ex 19:16-20 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.KJV
God is coming down in our worship to speak to us and place His glory presence upon us:
Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, KJV
The Church came about at Pentecost which celebrates Mt. Sinai. Instead of fearing God like the children of Israel and refusing to see God; at Pentecost God came near and the Church started speaking in tongues and the power of God came.
So Hebrews 12 tells the Church when we gather together we are not coming to Mt. Sinai where we stand a far off from God but we are come to Mt. Zion and there is no veil between heaven and earth but there is an open heaven where we can come into the very presence of God, accessing the throne of God and accessing the stuff that God has provided for us.
Heb 4:16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. AMP
Worship brings us into His presence where we can meet with God face to face.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. KJV
We have this opportunity to worship our God and experience all of this and we must not allow thoughts to come to our mind and take our thoughts away from worship nor allow the distraction of people and what is going on around us cause us to miss out on worshiping God with those who have gathered with us; the Father, the angels, the Church, those gone on to heaven and our Lord Jesus.
When we have intensified worship we have come to Mt. Zion into the presence of God instead of to Mt. Sinai where we have to stand a far off. We have come to a place of participation with the Father, angels, the Lord Jesus, and those who have moved to heaven. We have come to a place of participation and intensity of power. Mt. Zion for 33 years worshipped God 24/7 with instruments, music, dance, and praise and I believe the Church will go far beyond what they experienced.
Our worship breaks through to the other dimension and we can experience an open just like Jacob saw in Genesis with angels ascending and descending, they are coming to participate with us.
Gen 28:10-13 And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran.11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: KJV
In this worship we are breaking through to another dimension and we will see beyond what our natural eyes can see, into the spirit realm.
Remember what I taught you here in Heb 12 the next time you are worshiping and don’t allow anything from keeping you from breaking through to that other dimension and worshiping with the Father, angels, Jesus and saints gone on to heaven.
In these days I believe we are going to see more and more angels come to the earth and minister for God so that God’s plans are not thwarted but carried out fully in the earth because Satan and demons will try to delay and stop the plan of God. They are going to be visible like never before.
Rev 8:2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. NASU
Rev 14:15-19 And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, " Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 Then He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, " Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe." 19 So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. NASU
Angels are God’s holy diplomatic envoy and they respond solely to God’s voice and God’s will, never acting on their own accord. We cannot order angels around for they only obey God. So together with the angles we are a powerful team serving our God.
Angels who minister to us and with us are ministers of fire.
Ps 104:4 Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. NKJV
Angels are here to help us, to assist us do God’s work on the earth. Angels make life easier for us so we don’t waste time or energy. They help us work smarter. They’ve been on the earth from the start and have seen everything that can be done so let’s not be stupid and not take their advice and their direction along with the Holy Spirit. Our assignment from the Lord will be done more efficiently, in a much better way and more economically if we allow the angels to assist us and we listen to them and obey.
Heb 1:14 Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? NASU
Here are two references in scripture of angels coming to aid a man of God:
1 Kings 19:5-8 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. KJV
Acts 12:5-11 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.KJV
What kind of ministry do angels offer us?
First of all we see angels in the Old Testament who serve in the temple. If you could have seen through your spiritual eyes in the temple of Solomon you would have seen angels, cherubim angels. In the temple Isaiah saw seraphim angels worshiping. So worship angels are worshiping around the temple of God which is our body in the earth today. Our heart is the Holy of Holies in the earth today.
1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? KJV
Angels are here on the earth in the spirit to minister to and encourage the worship in us, the Temple of God and accompany us in worship. And so during a worship service we may feel a presence and it is the Holy Spirit plus the angels of God. That is why people have heard angels while worshipping.
Thank the Lord we don’t have to go to Jerusalem to worship for our heart is the Holy of Holies since the Holy Spirit God dwells there.
Then angels are here to make things easier for us and more efficient so we don’t waste our time and energy. They make us work smarter so we don’t have to work harder. If computers and inventions in our time make life easier then in the spirit realm angels who have been around for a long, long time are here to give us instruction to make our life stress free.
Also angels are not afraid to clean up our messes. Angels will be right there when we get ourselves into a mess so they can help us.
Angels work through believers to get God’s work done in the earth.
Angels see us as “heirs of all things” and “joint-heirs with Christ”. We were made a little lower than Elohim and now through Jesus Christ we are crowned with glory and honor. With Jesus seated at the right hand of the Father, angels see our future and they see us as the body of Christ on this earth and they see us reigning with Christ ALREADY ON THIS EARTH. Even though our enemy is defeated they are going to stand their ground until the end to try to take from us what Christ has given us and made us to be in the earth. That is why there is the invisible war with angels fighting demons.
Angels worship God with us and angels are commissioned by God to serve and minister to us every single day.
Angels are our invisible allies in the earth. We can activate these allies to work for us and minister to us so that we live in victory.
A lot of Christians know about spiritual warfare (Eph 6:11-13) but most Christians do not realize that in the spiritual dimension, heavenly places, there is a more difficult war raging than any war that is on the earth. Angels are warring with the demonic we cannot see that oppose us every day. So we need these warrior angelic allies to come to our aid. We will not see a lot of victories in our lives if we do not have the angel allies warring with the invisible demonic enemy. Certainly we have the amour of God but God has the force of angel allies to assist and war for us in the heavenly dimension. We can’t make it if we do not have angel allies.
Angel allies love and protect what you love and they face the same enemy with us. They share the same allegiances and loyalty, obey the same orders, and stay with us until we win. They are our allies and they operate in ranks under God’s authority as we enforce God’s authority in the earth. They watch us, look into the things that concern us and assist us and protect us but they will not come to us without our orders, our permission and without our knowledge. They come based on a person’s prayers and their confession of faith. Speaking the Word of God over our lives activates angels to assist, help us.
Angels are here to give us God’s assignment and give us an empowerment for a greater level of service just as they did in this scripture in Isaiah 6:5-7.
Isa 6:5-7 Then I said, " Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts." 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. 7 He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven." NASU
God sends His angels to strengthen us and help us in our everyday life tests, trials, temptations, difficulties and sins that seem to control us.
In the New Testament we see two different times angels came to our Lord Jesus Christ and strengthened Him.
Matt 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. KJV
Luke 22:39-43 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. KJV
Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by the devil forty days and after this temptation time Jesus was weak in His body because He hadn’t eaten for forty days and weak in His mind, will and His emotions.
Remember the bible tells us that it is Satan’s goal to ‘wear out” believers in Christ. Jesus passed every temptation and test of the devil by answering every test with the Word of God. But it was after this spiritual battle that angels came and ministered to Jesus.
Heb 4:14-15 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,…15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. KJV
Jesus was tempted with all the sins which all men are tempted to be a faithful High Priest to all of mankind.
Jesus had a soul, emotions, attitudes, feelings and a body just as we do. He had to deal with it all just as we do. For forty days straight He was tempted of the devil with all kinds of sins but yet He yielded to none of them. They were true temptations. After the forty days Jesus needed strength and the angels came and ministered to Him.
Father God sees us no differently than He does Jesus. Father loves us as much as He does Jesus and so it is His will to send angels to minister to us when we have taken our stand of faith in His Word and there is no immediate change and we are tempted to give up on our faith and give up on Him.
And again another time Jesus needed strengthened before He went to the cross and the angels came and ministered to Him; strengthening Him to go through the scourging, the cross, death and hell, and separation from the Father so He could declare, “It is finished!”
We need to remember when we have stood our ground on the Word of God that we have available to us angels to come and minister strength to us so we don’t grow weary and want to give up.
We have heard plenty of teaching we need to take our stand on the Word of God and not give up on the promises but we have not been taught that during that time of the testing of our faith we have the ministry of angels to strengthen us and to encourage us so we don’t give up our stand. Angels strengthened our Lord and now is our time to be strengthened, so that we are strengthened with all might in our inner man.
Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? NKJV
Angels will not do our assignment for us but they will strengthen us as they did Jesus so we too can declare, “It is finished.”
We need to realize human, intellectual strength is not enough for us in this walk of faith, we need supernatural on our natural and that is where angels come into play in our stand of faith and completing our own assignment.
Do you sometimes just feel tired and worn out in your soul and body? That’s the time to ask for the ministry of angels to strengthen you by the power of the Holy Spirit.
If we just ask, God will send His angels to strength us when we face our biggest challenges, our biggest tests, our biggest trials, the most difficult of circumstances, with depression trying to set in and when we have made the biggest messes of our lives. God is merciful God so He sends His angels to help us even in our biggest messes.
Satan is determined to wear us out and wear us down so that we quit!
Dan 7:25 …(Satan) shall wear out the saints of the most High… KJV
God has told us,
Isa 1:19 If you will only let me help you,… TLB
We hear this statement a lot, “God helps those who help themselves.” God does want us to be responsible but God never wants us to never ask for His help or the angels and He wants us to expect His supernatural help. That is why a lot of us get into such messes. We are helping ourselves and in this world today human options are dwindling and we are boxed in, fenced in and limited by natural circumstances, lack of employment and governments legislation. This is the time especially when we need to ask for God’s help. We need to ask for God’s help every single day and expect it and that includes the assistance and ministry of angels.
We must not allow our enemy to wear us out and wear us down and get to the place where we want to quit! We need to expect the ministry of angels continually so we don’t reach those low spots. We can in the midst of even the lowest time in our lives experience the presence of angels that bring a joy to our heart that would even cause us to laugh.
Did you know that God’s joy is available to you in your most difficult, trying times where you just start laughing at your enemy? God does. He laughs at His enemies and yours.
Ps 2:1-4 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. KJV
I have been in services when the people just started laughing uncontrollably. What is happening? The angels have brought the joy of the Lord and released it in the midst of the people. This is the ministry of angels in hard and difficult times, the joy of the Lord which is our strength. This causes our enemies to get scared and scatter. They can’t stand it in a place where the presence of the Lord is and where His joy is released. The joy of the Lord scatters the enemy and causes confusion to set in among the enemy’s camp.
Times are only going to get tougher and worse in the natural and that is why we need supernatural help of angels. They bring us the joy of the Lord that is our strength for these times. They bring us peace and hope where there is no peace in this world and where there certainly is no visible hope. They bring God’s hope to us that is all the hope we need in this world at anytime and anyplace on the globe.
Israel failed God time and again and went after other God’s but He still sent His angels to help them when they were in trouble.
Ex 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.KJV
Ex 33:2-3 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: 3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way. KJV
Num 20:16 And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border: KJV
I am so glad angels are not afraid when things in our lives look the very worst possible and things in the world around us look IMPOSSIBLE! No, they are here to help us and ready to do the supernatural in these circumstances for us.
I think a lot of times things get so bad because we haven’t understood the supernatural help angels can and do provide for us. So let’s be encouraged and ask for their help. After all angels are here to cheer us on and be our greatest encouragers and strengthen our faith in God’s supernatural possibilities for us. There were many times in the bible where angels came to help people in difficult times and ministered to them, giving them strength to continue on. We need to expect the angels to minister to us in times of depression, worry and anxiety. Otherwise they will just be just standing around watching you suffer through it all by yourself. So recognize they are here right now to help you. So ask for their help and ask for them to strengthen you with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus too received help after He was sorely tested and tried by Satan.
Matt 4:11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him. NASU
The angels can be counted on to minister to us even when we feel all alone and the burden of things seems to overwhelm us. So ask for their help and expect them to come just as they came to Jesus and ministered to Him.
Luke 22:39-44 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. KJV
So when you feel all alone and overwhelmed by things, remember the angels are right there to minister to you because they never leave you. Just ask for their help and expect things to be different.
The ministry of angels is part of our inheritance our Lord has given to us through the shedding of His precious blood. Let’s not allow the enemy to wear us down and wear us out but instead receive the ministry of angels just as Jesus did.
Elijah, the prophet was another person the angels came to and strengthened in a challenging time. Elijah had called down fire from heaven and exposed the false prophets of Baal and because of that the three and a half years of drought was broken and there was a turn back to the only and true God, Jehovah but Elijah was exhausted. He was being sought by wicked Queen Jezebel to kill him and so Elijah fled the scene in his exhaustion, became very depressed and wanted to die. But then God sent his angel to his prophet to minister to him and prepare food for him that gave Elijah strength for forty days.
1 Kings 19:1-8 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer-sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.KJV
Are you exhausted today just as this prophet and want to give up and just go to heaven? Then call on the angels to minister to you right now. These supernatural beings are in this earth just to minister to you right now. They are in your presence right now. Recognize their presence and ask for them to come and strengthen you today. Ask for and receive their assistance in all of your tests, trials, difficulties and challenges. Don’t try to do it all alone by yourself. You can’t do it by yourself because you are living in a world where your spiritual enemy is working overtime to weary and discourage you. Your time in this earth requires the same supernatural help of angels just as it did for Elijah in his time.
Do you, like Elijah, feel you are all alone? Call on angels. Do you feel tired and weary because you have put all of your time and strength and everything else into what God has told you to do, just as did Elijah? Do you feel there are people out there to get you, as did the prophet Elijah? Call on the ministry of angels. Take some time to sit in the presence of God and relax so the angels will have opportunity to come and minister to you right now as they did with Elijah.
Daniel was another person who was strengthened by an angel. Given a revelation of the end times, Daniel became so overwhelmed he almost died but the angel of the Lord came and strengthened him. It is both the touch of the angel and the word from the Lord that gave Daniel the strength for his God given assignment.
Dan 10:17-19 For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. 18 Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, 19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me. KJV
So angels ministered to Jesus, Elijah, Daniel and Israel and we can see from these scriptures that we too can receive strength from angels.
Angels are sent to strengthen those in their assignment from God. The very presence of the angel releases strength to a person. Angels minister strength to weak believers. Angels come to a person and speak a word from the Lord so that they are strengthened by the word which gives them hope, faith and joy for the days ahead of them.
Angels also have transported believers from one place to another like the angel transported Philip when he took him from Samaria and placed him in the desert.
Acts 8:26-40 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus: KJV
God still needs His people at different places all over the globe today and so I believe we are going to see more and more translations of God’s people happening. I know I am hearing more and more stories where people are transported.
When there is Kingdom work to be done angels will come to us and encourage us to step out in faith and do it even when we seem to be the most unqualified person to do it.
Judg 6:12-16 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man. KJV
Has the Lord spoken to you to do something? Do you feel like a Gideon? “There’s nothing special about me?” “Why would God use you?”
I ask for an angel to come and encourage you today so that you step out in faith and do it. Remember just as with Gideon the angel of God will be with you and you can surely do it just as the angel spoke confidence, surety of the thing to Gideon, “Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” With your angel by the power of God you are able to do what God has called and asked you to do. Someone has to do and it might as well be you. If God be for you, who or what in this world can be against you or stop you? Nothing stopped Gideon. So it’s time you step out in faith with your angel and go for it. It’s time for you to be another Gideon in this time. God needs you like He has never, ever needed you before. You’re it. You have been chosen. You might as well get going. (I really believe I was just talking to somebody right now. I really do feel the presence of God. So go for it. You won’t fail. Trust God.).
Hosts of angels are watching over us each day. We have a connection to this invisible world in our lives and these ancient beings are here to speak to us, direct us, help us, protect us and encourage us.
Angels’ assignment is to be ministers or servants to and for God and to us who believe in Christ.
Angels are here to protect believers in Christ.
Ps 34:7 His angel guards those who honor the LORD and rescues them from danger. TEV
Ps 91:9-11 You have made the LORD your defender, the Most High your protector, 10 and so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home. 11 God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go. TEV
Peter was assisted by an angel in order to get out of prison. If he had remained there he could have been killed for preaching Christ.
Acts 12:7-10 And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter's side and woke him up, saying, "Get up quickly." And his chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and put on your sandals." And he did so. And he said to him, "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me." 9 And he went out and continued to follow, and he did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened for them by itself; and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. Angels’ function is to do God’s bidding. The angels are sent by God to be our heavenly co-workers in the Kingdom business on earth. They are to be our heavenly friends. They are always with us and they never get tired of us or give up on us. We really need God’s angels because they are our guides through life. They protect us from all danger, all demonic, everything that would harm us mentally, physically, financially and spiritually. They also give us messages from heaven and so we could call them “heaven’s messengers”. They are here to minister to us when we need encouragement and help bring the joy of the Lord into our presence and thus bring the strength of the Lord to us. They are to minister to us just as they did Jesus in the Garden before He went to the cross and after the temptation in the wilderness.
Each person on the earth has angels sent here to minister to them and for them whether they know it or not and these angels want to be put to work. There are many unemployed angels because many Christians don’t know how to activate their angel and give them assignments. I will share later how to activate angels.
We need to realize angels are here to make things easier for us with their supernatural ability and quit trying to figure things out and work so hard to get things done and realize they are at our side ready, willing, able, and waiting to assist us.
God has so much to tell us and show us and so He uses angels, messengers of God, to give us messages, give us deeper revelation and wisdom as well as help us gain understanding and power in the Holy Spirit.
Here are two examples from the scriptures of God sending a messenger angel with God’s message to Zacharias and Mary:
Luke 1:5-38 Birth of John the Baptist Foretold In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years. 8 Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division, 9 according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering. 11 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense. 12 Zacharias was troubled when he saw the angel, and fear gripped him. 13 But the angel said to him, " Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John. 14 "You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 "For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother's womb. 16 "And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God. 17 "It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." 18 Zacharias said to the angel, "How will I know this for certain? For I am an old man and my wife is advanced in years." 19 The angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. 20 "And behold, you shall be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time." 21 The people were waiting for Zacharias, and were wondering at his delay in the temple. 22 But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them; and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he kept making signs to them, and remained mute. 23 When the days of his priestly service were ended, he went back home. 24 After these days Elizabeth his wife became pregnant, and she kept herself in seclusion for five months, saying, 25 "This is the way the Lord has dealt with me in the days when He looked with favor upon me, to take away my disgrace among men." 26 Jesus' Birth Foretold Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you." 29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. 30 The angel said to her, " Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end." 34 Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered and said to her, " The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. 36 "And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. 37 "For nothing will be impossible with God." 38 And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. NASU
Daniel had made supplications to the Lord and now the angel of God was sent to give Him the answer to his prayers.
Dan 9:21-27 while I was still speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision previously, came to me in my extreme weariness about the time of the evening offering. 22 He gave me instruction and talked with me and said, "O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you insight with understanding. 23 "At the beginning of your supplications the command was issued, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed; so give heed to the message and gain understanding of the vision. 24 Seventy Weeks and the Messiah "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place. 25 "So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. 26 "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. 27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." Here in this next scripture I want you to see that angels take your prayers before the throne of God to be answered.
Rev 8:3-4 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. KJV
Now that you have seen that angels immediately respond and carry your prayers to heaven to be answered, just visualize that each time when you pray. Your prayers are taken up to heaven, answered and then angels come back bringing the answer.
Jesus told us there are angels assigned to children to protect them so they are able to fulfill the destiny God has planned for their lives.
Matt 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven. NASU
Here is a scriptural example of an angel watching over a child:
Gen 21:14-19 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. KJV
Jesus was not exempt from the ministry of angels protecting Him as a child:
Matt 2:13-14 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: KJV
If you have concerns about any children just ask the angels to go immediately and protect them and minister to them. If they protected our Lord Jesus as a child they will protect and minister to any child. You need to be the one who intercedes for them and then angels will go to work.
You might be a parent or grandparent who cannot see your child/children or grandchild/grandchildren but you can send angels there to protect them and minister to them. So just be assured that angels will assist you and bring comfort to you and the child/children through their supernatural intervention in this child/children’s lives.
Angels cannot save us but they can lead sinners to God’s people so they receive Christ.
I want to share a scripture you can use in your stand of faith for your own loved one, friend, neighbor or whomever who have not received Jesus as their Savior and Lord:
Acts 10:1-6 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. KJV
The bible tells us the angels rejoice over one person coming to Christ and comes under the authority of Christ.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. KJV
Stop and ask Father God to send angels to your loved one, friends, neighbors, etc. so they too will come to Christ.
Angels can tell us where to go so we can minister to the saved and the unsaved and so we need to be listening and expecting them to show us where to go and minister.
Acts 8:26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, "Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza." ( This is a desert road.) NASU
If the angel had not appeared in a dream the will of God would not have been done and Joseph would not have possibly married Mary.
Matt 1:20,21,24 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, " Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." 24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, NASU
Again the instruction and direction of this angel in this dream was important for the will of God concerning Jesus to come about.
Matt 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. KJV
So angels can speak to us in visions and in dreams and give us instruction and direction from God. It is to our advantage we obey even if it doesn’t make natural sense.
Whatever nation or city you may live in God has His angels assigned to the Church in that place to see to them and see that their mission for the Kingdom is carried out. We need to realize we are not limited to just the natural but we are connected up to heaven, to the supernatural by way of God’s agents, God’s angels in the earth to carry out supernatural intervention for the Church in this time.
We, the Church, need to realize we have the backing of heaven and the supernatural assistance of angels who are here simply to watch over the Church and see that our mission is carried out. I believe the condition of the Church in Revelation is where many churches are today and I hope we realize angels are here to get us going in the right direction as the Church. Take notice that these messages were written to “the angel of the church”.
Rev 2:1-29 Message to Ephesus "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this: 2' I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary. 4'But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place — unless you repent. 6'Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7' He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.' 8 Message to Smyrna "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says this: 9'I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11' He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.' 12 Message to Pergamum "And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The One who has the sharp two-edged sword says this: 13'I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14'But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality. 15'So you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16'Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth. 17' He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.' 18 Message to Thyatira "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this: 19' I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. 20'But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21' I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality. 22'Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. 23'And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. 24'But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them — I place no other burden on you. 25'Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. 26' He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS; 27 AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON,AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star. 29' He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.' Revelation 3:1-22 Message to Sardis "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ' I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2'Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3'So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5' He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6' He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.' 7 Message to Philadelphia "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: 8' I know your deeds. We are living in the end times. Jesus will soon return. We need to declare the Lordship of Jesus and a breakthrough for the Kingdom of God in the earth and expect the activity of angels in the affairs of our nations, states, cities and towns. Governments need the assistance of angels as never before.
I believe we are going to see more and more activity of angels because there is going to be more and more activity of demons than ever before as they try to hinder or stop the plan of God in nations, states, cities and towns. With the threat of wars and rumors of wars nations will need the assistance of angels in their nation.
We will also see more and more battles in the invisible realm among demons who control nations and kingdoms, etc. and the angels of God. The dark forces of demons that draw strength from false religions and demonic leadership in the nations will lead to the final war with these demons and demonic leaders coming against Christ and His heavenly army at Armageddon. The militants of nations are receiving visits from the demons right now, instructing them in acts of terror. And already above the atmosphere above the earth there is the constant conflict with demons and angels. And above every nation, state, city and town Satan has assigned principalities and under that demon are hosts of wickedness. With every earthly conflict there is a demonic influence. In Dan 10:4-14 we see such taking place and it was the prayer of one man with a prophetic calling who prayed and fasted that brought an angel to him with the word from the Lord for Daniel’s nation. And that is why our prayers and prophetic words are so important for our nation, state, city and town, so we too can have the word of the Lord for our nation and angel assistance.
Dan 10:4-14 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.KJV
It is with constant war with demons that angels affect the destiny of nations and their governments.
So we must understand the angelic interaction in governments in the spirit realm and so that makes the alliance with believers and angels important for this time. It is through our worship, prayer, witnessing for Christ and taking a part in the government of our nation and local government that will change the destiny of a nation, state and city.
I am a testimony of this very thing happening in my state and also the two cities where I pray with the mayors every month. God is doing some mighty, terrific things as a result of prayer, not only mine but many others in the body of Christ.
Men and women who hold any office need our prayers, words from the Lord and also angel assistance and intervention. They need the assistance of angels with all the famine, earthquakes, disasters, terrorism, pestilence, plagues, financial collapse, etc. they are dealing with today.
We need these supernatural angels to war in the spirit realm for our nations where there are demonic strongholds and strongholds over our leaders whether it be a president, a member of congress, military leader or financial advisor. Daniel is our example as we pray and intercede for our nation.
Dan 10:12-13 Then he said to me, " Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13 "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. Angels must be here to help us because human options are dwindling and human ingenuity has created a world that is rushing towards ruin and chaos. We no longer can depend on natural help or aid as we once did. Angels must come and protect and promote God’s Kingdom and God’s people in the earth. In order to work alongside angels we must be Kingdom of God oriented and then God can do the supernatural through the angelic assistance and intervention.
Believers must know how to be in prime position to receive and activate angelic supernatural influence in our world and so we must know how the kingdom of God works in relationship to us and the earth realm. One of the main things we must understand is there are certain kingdom laws in the Word of God that angels abide by if we are going to benefit by their assistance and we must abide by these laws as well. It is understanding of God’s kingdom that will help us understand the connection between the laws of the kingdom of God and our angelic allies.
We must understand that the Kingdom of God is here now on the earth. Jesus told us that in Luke 17:12:
Luke 17:21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. AMP
As a born again child of God through Christ Jesus the Kingdom of God is within you. So you now have full access to the Kingdom and all of its resources.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. KJV
Kingdom awareness will release the supernatural on the natural which would include the miraculous assistance of angels.
It is the Holy Spirit who releases the power of the Kingdom of God on the earth and angels are part of that kingdom.
Acts 12:23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died. NASU
2 Sam 24:16 When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD relented from the calamity and said to the angel who destroyed the people, "It is enough! Now relax your hand!" And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. NASU
Remember that your enemies are God’s enemies as well and so angels will see that others will not take advantage of you nor harm you as we see in this scripture
Gen 19:1-11 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.9 And they said, Stand back. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.KJV
Lucifer, the leading cherubim angel, tried to overthrow God’s throne and he was kicked out of heaven with a third of the angels of heaven.
Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: KJV
Today Lucifer (now Satan) and the fallen angels (now demons) try to defeat the children of God in their everyday life on earth. And so angels are warring with demons in the unseen realm on our behalf every single day to stop their purposes and plans against us.
The GOOD NEWS is that two thirds of the angels that remained in heaven are here to help us and they war with our enemy and defeat their purpose and plans against us.
Rev 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. We are not fighting flesh and blood whom we can see but we are fight with principalities and powers of darkness that come against us to defeat God’s purpose and plan for our lives.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. KJV
We have our armor Ephesians speaks about to use in this spiritual battle but we cannot and must not ignore the assistance of angels to go to battle with the demonic trying to stop us, stop God’s plan and purpose for us.
Cherubim angels have four faces; man, lion, calf and eagle. “Four” is the number of the earth and so the cherubim are assigned to the earth.
The leading cherub was named Lucifer, now Satan. He was the anointed cherubim that covered.
Ezek 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth;… KJV
In the old creation before God destroyed the ancient creation and then replanted the Garden of Eden these angels covered the earth in worship.
Adam and his family brought their offerings to the gates of Eden where the cherubim were stationed.
Later in scripture we see the cherubim angels adorn the Holy of Holies around the bloody mercy seat.
Ex 25:22 And there I (God) will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel. NKJV
The cherubim angels relate to God’s worship on the earth and they carry His throne.
The cherubim carry swords. They guarded the gate of the Garden of Eden and would not allow any person to enter after Adam and Eve sinned. They guard and protect the presence of God, the glory of God, the throne of God and His holiness from that which is not holy. Cherubim angels don’t allow anything to approach God that is with sin.
Cherubim angels are stewards of God’s glory. They were the angels who ushered in the glory of God to Israel in Ezekiel and also removed the glory of God when Ichabod was born and the Ark of the Covenant was taken into Philistine capacity.
I believe we are going to see more and more cherubim angels because God is making His Church aware of His glory in this earth today. God is sending cherubim to the Church to bring the glory realms of heaven to earth and the open heaven that is available to us. So cherubim angels steward God’s glory and they also usher in the glory of God into the earth for us to experience. God uses the cherubim to minister to us in ways so that we might know and experience the glory of God.
In the temple tabernacle the cherubim stare at the blood on the mercy seat.
Ex 25:18-20 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. 20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be. KJV
Cherubim and seraphim angels are part of the host that carries us to heaven when we die.
The Zoa, living creatures, recorded in Rev 4 have different purposes or assignments. The lion angels recorded in Rev 4:7 carry a lot of God’s glory in the area of authority and have been dispatched by God to minister authority in the earth right now for the body of Christ. The ox angel have the ox nature of Christ which is Jesus’ apostolic nature or Jesus’ servant role and they are with the true apostles today to give them courage, strength and the grace to continue on in the midst of hardship. The purpose of eagle angels is to help in the release of God’s prophets on the earth.
There are two archangels, Gabriel and Michael. Michael, I believe, oversees warfare in the heavens and on earth with Satan and demons and oversees the nation of Israel.
Gabriel, God uses to deliver special and important messages to people on the earth. He delivered the message to Zacharias recorded in Luke 1:12 of the conception and birth of John the Baptist and then delivered the message to Mary that she would conceive and birth the Messiah, Jesus, as a virgin by the Holy Spirit. There are some who believe Gabriel oversee God’s Generals in the earth.
There are what I refer to as “common” angels and they protect and minister to the righteous and children. They represent a particular part of God’s character and nature such as the grace of God. They minister God’s grace to people and make it easier for them when they are going through difficult situations. We need to expect their ministry every single day to make things easier for us in these challenging times. Ask for their help today. Then there are angels or spirits of wisdom which is the nature of God and they serve us in His wisdom. There are also spirits of holiness, spirits of knowledge, spirits of understanding, spirits of faith, spirits of love, spirits of peace, spirits of joy, spirits of hope, etc. and all of these angels minister to the children of God the different aspects of God’s nature. So let’s remember to ask for their help when we need wisdom, grace, joy, hope, the love of God, etc.
