We are in a war with a spiritual enemy who is after our faith! We are in a war where the facts want to destroy our faith in God’s Word about us and supernatural, Kingdom living. So in this war we have to decide every day whether or not we are willing to be facts minded and be subjected to what you naturally can expect or be spiritually minded and live life abundantly from the Kingdom realm with peace in our souls. This is a constant every day choice we have to make. If you don’t choose either than automatically the choice is made for you; resulting in a carnal life and pretty much any Kingdom living is limited or nonexistent.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. KJV
There are many believers in Christ who have died because the facts of their illness, the diagnosis of the doctor were too powerful in their thinking. If you talked to that same individual their conversation would be about the doctor’s diagnosis and how they felt and the symptoms (the facts) they were experiencing and then they wondered why God hadn’t healed them! Come on! You get what you focus on and talk about all the time. We have to realize repeating, repeating all of this only creates more of the same and the condition of that individual will only get worse. You see this lots of times; which is proof of the creative power of their words. These individuals experienced just what they had spoken over and over and over again and again. These poor souls spend more time in thinking about the facts and less time meditating the Word. They are professionals at speaking the facts and so the logos Word remains logos or just words written on the pages of their bibles. But if they began to meditate the Word of God and make it final authority in their situation instead of the negative facts, then the Word of God becomes rhema Word (revealed word to them) and it eliminates all the symptoms (the facts).
The devil is a persistent enemy and we have to become just as persistent using the truth of God’s Word in every situation until we see the manifestation of the thing promised.
The bible tells us living by faith is our profession.
1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. KJV
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) KJV
“Hold fast to the profession of faith”, why? Because God is faithful who promised.
So the devil will try to tell you nothing is happening. Well he just called God a liar and we have no business joining up with him whom Jesus called the “father of lies”.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. KJV
So when the father of lies, Satan, or one of his cohorts or just human reasoning and human training are speaking lies to your mind that nothing happens when you speak the Word of God over your body or situation then you must realize who or what just spoke to you. Yep, it was the father of lies, Satan, himself and his cohorts, that anti-Christ spirit that is now in this world and deceiving many. It also is the voice of your soul that has been trained over the years to believe all the facts and you have to believe in only what you can see. Oh our parents and others have trained us well to believe only what we can see. That’s natural training for natural living but we are talking about living by faith and that requires ignoring the facts and taking the truth as our only evidence of what is happening in our lives.
What is happening in those times you see nothing? Well things are happening in the spirit first and then you will see them in the natural.
See we have to hold on to our faith in God’s Word that the promises are being delivered into this realm where we can see them. Faith is at work! Hope another powerful spiritual force is working along with faith. Angels are at work! The Law of the Spirit of Life, the Law of our new being, is at work! The promises of God are at work! Father God is watching over His Word to perform it! The Word, a living Thing is at work! The resurrection power of the Holy Spirit is working! Don’t stop these spiritual powers from working by your confession that nothing happened! Things are happening in the spirit realm to release what is believed and confessed in the natural, physical realm.
Just think about the truth of these scriptures below working on your behalf right now in the invisible:
Heb 4:12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; AMP
Jer 1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. KJV
Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you. AMP
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. AMP
Ps 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. KJV
Heb 11:1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. AMP
Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, KJV
These scriptures will keep you confident that these things are working for you in the spirit realm and in the natural realm: the power of the Word of God, God performing His Word, the Spirit is quickening your body, the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus the law of your new nature is working in your behalf, angels are working for you, faith and hope are working in the invisible realm. Pretty soon there will be manifestation of what God promised you.
Keep speaking the truth of God’s Word for God’s Word contains the power to bring to pass what has been promised. The Word of God tells you that you reign as a king in this life by one Jesus’ Christ. And as any king you reign by opening your mouth and decreeing the truth over your life that cancels every operation of facts in your life! Acting as a king, once you decree the Word as final authority over this or that situation then that is set into law in this realm and heaven! So keep speaking the truth of God’s Word of your victory in faith before you see the victory the Word is producing!
ob 22:28 You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; AMP
Matt 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. AMP
Don’t allow people who are natural thinkers or speak naturally all the time speak into your life. Even Jesus had to deal with these kinds of people and He put them out of the room of a dead girl in order to raise her up and so will you have to deal with them and put them out of your life for a season or period of time. If they are a family member just remind them you have made the choice and now they must get on board with you and help you by enforcing the Word of God in your situation as well.
Mark 5:39-42 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. KJV
Humanly speaking facts look to us like the truth but they are not the truth about us if we are living by faith! They are just facts! You are living above natural living by faith and your faith is in the supernatural Word of God! If something doesn’t line up with God’s Word in your life then it is a lie, a lie against the Word of God and a lie about you and it is lying to you! You must come to this truth, otherwise the enemy will use the facts to steal, kill and destroy! It maybe a fact in this natural, physical realm but we are not living out of this realm but out of the realm of heaven! We must honor God and honor His Word, His truth and not facts! That’s what living by faith is all about; honoring God with our faith and our lives lived in faith!
The doctor may have given you a fact that you have cancer. He sees it in the natural so that is all he can tell you, “You have cancer.” Unless that doctor has spiritual perception he cannot know anything else. Using the truth from God’s Word you might tell the doctor that you were healed by the stripes that wounded Jesus and that is foreign to him and he will think you are a fool and tell you that you better listen to him if you want to live. But you have spiritual perception and you have the promises of divine healing and divine health and divine wholeness that you consider the truth about your health. You may have the facts, the doctor’s diagnosis, but to you the Laws of the Spirit are higher laws in your life and you now use those higher laws to destroy the cancer or whatever has been diagnosed.
That’s exactly what Doddie Osteen, Joel Osteen’s mother, did when she was diagnosed with cancer of the liver and sent home to die. Doddie did what I am telling you and she is alive and living cancer free because Jesus set Doddie Osteen free 2,000 years ago from cancer. Doddie made the truth of God’s Word final authority in her life and her body rather than the facts, the diagnosis from her doctor.
All of us have to be like Doddie if we are going to live in this world by faith; we must make the truth of God’s Word our final word, final authority and not the facts.
If we have pain, it is still, “Jesus bore away all pain from my body.” If we still feel or see the tumor; it is still “Jesus became cursed with all curses in the earth and at that time set me free from all curses on the earth, even a tumor, a cancerous tumor! In Jesus’ name, cancerous tumor, I speak to you and you be gone NOW! You are a lie from the pit of Hell! Cancer, you are of the devil who is the father of all lies and I don’t listen to him and I don’t pay any attention to you because you are gone NOW! I curse you in the name of Jesus and I speak to you that you will dry up and fall off!”
Living by faith and not by sight as the bible tells us to do is not faith in the facts or what we perceive by the physical senses! Yes, they are facts but they deny the truth of God’s Word to be reality. And so we have to realize these facts deny the very truth of God’s Word! We can therefore deny the facts the right to operate in our lives since we live by faith in the truth of God’s Word! This is how it must be!
Faith is of the spirit realm because you can’t see it and so you have to put your faith in a promise of God which is truth! When we live by faith we have to believe only the truth of the Word of God! That again means that our focus, our words, our conversations are aligned with the truth of God’s Word about us. That’s exactly what Abraham did and he got the promise and we will also.
Abraham is called “the father of our faith” and he had to decide whether he would go with the facts about his own body and Sara’s dead womb or the truth of God’s promise to them of a son in their old age. Here’s what Abraham did in the ring with the fight between the facts of old age and a dead womb and the truth of God’s promise of a son:
Rom 4:17-21 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. KJV
God said, “I have made thee a father of many nations.” That is past tense. God was saying that He had already done it. “You are now, right now the father of nations!” But the facts were still there!
Abraham stayed in the ring and threw the facts out of the ring and truth won the fight! Truth was the winner! Abraham left the ring with the prize of the birth of his promised son, Isaac. He staggered not at the truth, the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in his faith, giving God glory while still in the ring and remained fully persuaded what God promised He was able to do. God did fulfill the promise and Abraham became the father of nations and now Galatians 3:29 tells us he is our father of faith! We’re included in that prize Abraham won in that fight between his faith and the facts.
Notice what Abraham had to do to win in that ring. First he knew the facts that his age and Sarah’s were stacked against them and the real test of their faith in the promise of God was the fact Sarah’s womb was dead and she never could have children! But Abraham threw those facts out of the ring for the win when he remembered God had said that He was the One who quickens the dead, quickens dead wombs and he could act just like God and call things that be not, the truth of God’s Word, as though they were. He realized with this promise from God he had the advantage to win. The promise of God gave him all the hope he needed! So acting in faith in the promise He considered not his own body now dead at one hundred years of age and neither did he consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb. Abraham ignored all those facts stacked against him in the fight and it gave him the win!
Winning for us requires action. We ignore the facts and live by faith in the promises of God, the truth about us, speaking it daily over our life situations I don’t care what professional has declared differently over us. Professionals, such as doctors, are just looking at the facts which are earthy but we are living by faith in a higher realm that has higher truths which are higher laws in both the realm of the spirit and the earth. Speaking these promises or laws of the spirit over us changes everything.
When God speaks to us promises or we see promises made to us in the Word of God; we will have to act just like Abraham and we will have to give the facts no time in our focus whether it is pain in the body, the diagnosis of the doctor or the debt that brings anxiety and stresses us out. We must recognize that the professionals are only looking at the situation from their natural point of view, the facts they have gotten from the test they have done. Unless they have spiritual perception they will only be able to give you the facts. If we focus on debt or lack of money then it expands in our minds and will expand in our circumstances and things will get worse before they get better.
Now you have the choice of either taking the doctor’s diagnosis and other facts acquired naturally or you can take the promise of God which is even more powerful than the diagnosis or any other natural facts. God’s promises to you along with your faith in them can be just as powerful to change your situation as it proved powerful enough to bring life to Sarai’s dead womb and restoration to Abram’s aging body which produced the promised son. Now how powerful is that to have a son in old age and the woman’s womb was dead? We can have powerful, supernatural results as well as we meditate the Word of God, God’s promise and consider not the facts.
Christians are so afraid they will die if they don’t follow every one of the doctor’s orders. They can’t do anything without consulting with their doctor first but then turn that right around and how many have consulted with the Spirit of God inside of them and instead have plain ignored Him? They are following a mere man/woman’s opinion and they are trusting in the professionals more than trusting in the Word of God or the Spirit of God living inside of them.
You must realize you can trust God even when you have had a bad diagnosis from your doctor. You can trust God but it will take some soaking yourself in the Word of God which is the truth about you. That’s what Abram did in order to become fully persuaded and you have to see that is what you will have to do. God made promise to Abram when He took him out under the stars and asked him if he could number the stars and if he could he would be able to number his descendants. You have even greater promises for the New Testament is filled with better promises. God cannot lie when he makes promises to you.
Heb 6:16-19 Men indeed swear by a greater [than themselves], and with them in all disputes the oath taken for confirmation is final [ending strife].17 Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. 18 This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. 19[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it — a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, AMP
See God is not going to let you fail miserably nor let you die if you step out on His promises.
I know you might immediately recall people whom you thought lived by faith and they died. Yes, I can do that also, but you and I can never base our faith on what happened to another person. See that person may have not known what I am sharing with you. They may have not realized facts are the reality of this earth but the truth of God’s Word is spiritual law and it works in both the earth and heaven. They may not have realized spiritual laws are much more powerful laws than the law of sin and death from which Jesus purchased their freedom. Did they have a rhema word that Jesus destroyed the power of sin and death and gave them abundant life, the Zoë, God life that has the capability of removing death from every cell of their body and remove every form of cancer and heart disease and diabetes and stroke and so forth?
We have to follow the example of Abram in the fight of faith and step out so far there is no turning back.

Many times people don’t take on this fight of faith for what God has promised because their heart has hardened and they can’t even see a miracle even if it is looking at them right in the face. They have become so carnal and natural minded.
Mark 6:52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. KJV
Focusing on the problem, the diagnosis hardens our heart towards God and shuts down faith for a miracle. Our focus during the fight of faith is so important and it must be entirely on the Word of God that produces miracles. This way our heart does not become hardened towards God and Him fulfilling the promises and giving us a miracle.
Realize that every time you chose a natural means to take care of your problems you are losing ground in your faith stance in the ring and your heart becomes more hardened to God and believing His promises.
When we harden our heart towards natural answers to our problems and instead go to the Word of God; then the Word of God can quickly go to work on the problems. That’s why I constantly have said of late, “I harden my heart towards anything that speaks against God and His Word about me. That means I give it no time or attention!” The Lord told me, “Jane, those are powerful words, “I harden my heart.”
You will return to that fighting ring many times for the fight between facts and the truth of God’s Word and you will have to make a choice which one is going to win. So put your faith in the Word of God and come out of the ring the winner the Word of God has already declared you are!
