When we study angels we need to begin our study in Hebrews chapter 1 so that our study of angels is in the proper context.
Heb 1:3-6 When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say, "YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again," I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"? 6 And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, "AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM." NASU
Angels just like us are supposed to worship God and they are not to be worshipped. Only Jesus Christ has the right to be worshiped for He is King over all the angels.
Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, KJV
Heb 1:7-14 And of the angels He says, "WHO MAKES HIS ANGELS WINDS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE." 8 But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM. 9 "YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS ABOVE YOUR COMPANIONS." 10 And, "YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; 11 THEY WILL PERISH, BUT YOU REMAIN; AND THEY ALL WILL BECOME OLD LIKE A GARMENT, 12 AND LIKE A MANTLE YOU WILL ROLL THEM UP; LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED. BUT YOU ARE THE SAME, AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT COME TO AN END." 13 But to which of the angels has He ever said, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET"? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1 is showing us the right perspective we are to have concerning angels. Jesus rules over all things and that means angels as well. Jesus is the One to be worshipped and angels worship Him. They love and adore our Lord Jesus
Angels have their assignment and that is to be ministers or servants of the Most High God and serve us as well.
As never before we need to join forces with these supernatural beings and learn how to cooperate with them.
Angels are here to bring us into deeper revelation, wisdom, and experience in the spirit realm and help us gain understanding and power in the Holy Spirit.
We must realize that we need angels to protect us, guide us, encourage us, bring prosperity to us, give us messages from God, bring the joy of God into the atmosphere in our homes or wherever we may be, help us reach people for the Kingdom, war against the demonic above the earth and in the earth and much, much more. So let’s quit being religious and quit being afraid of working with the angels and start expecting to encounter them on a regular basis.
Angels can show up when things look absolutely hopeless and nothing is working out for us. That happened in the bible to Hagar when she and her son got kicked out of Abraham’s house. She was destitute and the angel came to help her. They are here to help you in your desperate times as well. We have to remember we are not our own and we belong to the Lord, our life is in Him and so angels are to help us in any and every situation if we expect them and ask for their help. The angel prospered Hagar in this situation and helped her find water.
Gen 21:19-20 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. 20 And God was with the lad… KJV
In these end times we cannot afford to live as mere human beings but instead we must live as the supernatural beings we were made to be in the new creation in Christ Jesus and operate out of the realm of the spirit. The Lord is calling each one of us to develop spiritually, be conformed to His image so we walk in the Spirit. (Gal. 5:16) As we learn to walk in the Spirit, we like the Apostle Paul, can encounter visitations from the Lord and angelic hosts, work more and more signs and wonders and get the attention of multitudes and bring the multitudes to Christ (Mark 16:17), experience being taken up in the spirit to the third heaven and grow accustomed to God’s Presence. This is God’s desire for us now more than ever.
More than ever before God is giving us understanding of the spirit realm we are to operate in and out of in these last days by uncovering the unseen realm and giving us clear understanding of what part angels have in our lives in these end times so we can cooperate with them. The bible tells us we are not to fix our eyes on things that are seen (now more than ever) but on the things that are not seen (heavenly realm) for the things that are seen are temporary but the things unseen are eternal. (2 Cor 4:18) God wants our spiritual eyes to be opened so we can see into the realm of His spirit and have faith in the ministry of angels so we cooperate with them in their ministry on this earth and partner with them so His will be done on the earth as it is in Heaven
The Word of God, the Bible, must always be our guide to show us how to live out of the realm of Heaven and how we are to associate and interact with angels.
