2 Corinthians 4:17,18 tells you that your affliction will be light and will last for a moment,

2 Cor 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. KJV

Your affliction is hardship that comes against you to stop your faith.  The enemy comes against you with hardships to keep you in his system he has built up in the earth of finances, health, etc.  He tries to make things difficult on you so that you don’t continue to live by faith and operate out of the Kingdom of God system so that it advances and eventually takes over all realms of influence in the earth.

So in order that you don’t remain in your affliction or hardship but it last for a moment, 2 Cor 4:17 tells you to fight the good fight of faith.  In this fight you are not fighting the devil, fighting cancer or fighting other people but you are fighting the good fight of faith.  You must put faith to work for you by applying your faith to your situations.  You don’t work it out.  Faith works for you in these times.

Your light affliction is supposed to be but for a moment.  You are not supposed to be always struggling to get through something.

Remember, number one, your affliction is going to be light and it is going to be momentary but it is only going to be that way if you continue to look not at the things that are seen.  With your faith you have to look past circumstances.  Look at the Word of God.  Jesus told you that you couldn’t live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  Don’t look at your circumstances and give them importance but rather give God’s Word first place in your attention, focus and meditation.
