Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; 9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] 10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works, which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. This Bible scripture is one of my favorites. It so clearly reveals God’s grace and favor towards us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Obtaining this great salvation had nothing to do with us and still has nothing to do with us; this salvation came by Jesus Christ.
How can we think we can maintain this salvation if we couldn’t even obtain this salvation on our own? We can’t and if we could we would probably be boasting about it.
Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection were enough payment for all of our sins: past, present and future. Jesus was made to be sin for us so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Christ. We have to receive Jesus' righteousness because our righteousness in the sight of God is as filthy rags.
Our salvation is a gift to us from God. That means He won’t take it away because it was a gift and it was given to us as a result of what Jesus has done for us, not any thing we did or could ever do. The salvation Jesus purchased for us includes eternal life, eternal security, the righteousness of God, His holiness, His justification and His sanctification (It is as if we had never sinned.), healing and divine health, prosperity in every area of our lives, deliverance from and victory over all the enemy He defeated for us, and we are seated with Him now in heavenly places. In other words we are complete in Him. The Bible says, as He is so are we in this world.
Our salvation package includes divine healing and health. Healing and health are received by believing Jesus provided it for us by His grace. Just say, “I receive the healing of my body by faith in the grace of God.” Your receiving healing has nothing to do with you, but has every thing to do with Jesus. You are worthy to receive healing because Jesus purchased it for YOU. He paid the price for your healing so you don’t have to the pay the price for all that expensive medicine.
We must remember that it is always God’s will to heal us because Jesus' stripes were for the healing of all people.
I will never forget a time in my life when I asked God if it was His will to heal every person. I had no sooner asked Him that question and the phone rang. A good friend of mine was calling another friend but instead she had called my number. She explained to me about her mistake and then she said to me, “I was just reading a book entitled, ‘It is God’s will to heal all’.” Needless to say, I got my answer.
But even more convincing to me are the Bible scriptures of Jesus’ ministry and how He healed all and the only place He could heal but just few was in His hometown because of their unbelief, because He was their hometown boy.
What is so amazing about God’s grace of healing is that the power in those words of Jesus spoken to those people at that time is still available to us as we read the accounts and receive them for ourselves. Hallelujah!
Don’t be sin conscious. Be righteous conscious for you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The more sin conscious you are, the more sinning you will do. Sin consciousness just perpetuates sin in our lives. The more righteous conscious you are, the more the righteousness of God will flow through you in your thoughts, words and actions.
Being sin conscious, we are discounting Jesus making us the righteousness of God. We are refusing to identify with Him and refusing to believe and receive the righteousness of God He has made us to be. To say that we are a sinner saved by grace is wrong. We need to say instead, “I was a sinner saved by God’s grace.”
We must realize Jesus made us holy and we remain holy because of Jesus and not the result of our doing. Jesus has made our spirit, the real us, to be holy so that the Holy Spirit could dwell in us. Remember in the Old Testament how God came down into the Holy of Holies and dwelt there? It had to be a holy place for Him to dwell there. We are now the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit; so our spirit, the real us, has been made holy. If we could sin with our spirit then the Holy Spirit would be like a Yo-yo bouncing back and forth into our spirit and out of our spirit.
Realizing the old man of the flesh is now dead, crucified at Calvary, and acknowledging every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus is the way to a sinless life. Become more and more righteousness of God conscious and conscious of the truth that sin has no more dominion over you. This is what the scriptures are referring to when it talks about the renewing of the mind.
Confession: I love You, Lord Jesus Christ and am forever thankful for all You have done for me through Your sacrifice. I thank You for the grace that made it possible for me to be right before the Father. I identify with You in Your death, burial and resurrection. I was crucified with You, Christ Jesus. I am now dead to sin and made alive to righteousness. I am a new creature altogether in Christ. I was raised with You, Lord Jesus, justified (It's just as if I had never sinned.) and now I am seated with You in heavenly places. Thank you Jesus, my Lord, for this wonderful new life I have in You. I am eternally saved from the wrath of God. I am healed and made whole by the stripes of Jesus. I am justified before God, sanctified and made holy by the precious blood of Christ. Jesus defeated and spoiled my enemy and now I can take the spoil of my enemy. Jesus, it is You I worship for it is because of You I now have a relationship with You, Father God and my precious Friend, the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, Jesus!!!! You are the Savior of the world, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!!!!
I have recently added some scriptures on “prosperity”, “love”, and “in Him” that can aid you in your confessions of God’s Word.
