Faith is the lifestyle of God and must be your lifestyle as a Christian so that you live on a higher level than just a carnal, natural life lifestyle, which is subject to trial and error and has no guarantee of success.
Living by faith means your five senses are off limits. Relying on your senses places you in the devil's territory and he can deceive your senses. His favorite trick is to put a symptom on your body or make things look impossible so that you take notice, speak it out of your mouth and then he has you under his control because you gave him permission with your words.
Rom 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. KJV
Faith is your way of life and is not to be used just as a parachute for emergencies. Without faith you will be surviving like those without Christ, depending on your own abilities and human resources.
As a Christian you now have to live by faith. You have to be dependent on God, trusting Him in every area of your life. So realize that “faith” is the most important subject for you to study. Without knowing how to live by faith you can be destroyed.
Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:… KJV
Ignorance of God’s Word, doubt that God will come through for you and unbelief are destroyers of your faith.
God has given you a measure of faith to use so that it increases (Rom 12:3; 2 Thess 1:3), faith comes by you hearing and hearing the Word of God (Rom 10:17), faith is of the heart but your intellect will never understand it (Rom 10:9,10), faith is part of your God nature since you were born again of the Spirit (Gal 5:22), and the gift of faith is the manifestation of the operation of the Spirit of God through you at certain times (1 Cor 12:7-9).
You can start by using your faith on parking spaces and things like that but then as you continue to use your faith it will grow and you can use it for bigger things.
There is no limit to your faith. You determine the limitations and the strength of your faith.
You can also develop your faith so that you get precision. Jesus said, “Whosoever shall say to this mountain.” Your mountain, a particular problem you are speaking to in faith may be among other mountains but you are just talking to this particular one. Using your faith on that particular mountain is like when a doctor or a surgeon uses a particular instrument in their practice for certain things. You want your faith to be precise, you want this thing to happen at a particular time, a particular day. Your faith can be developed so well that you can be precise.
To live by faith you have to get a revelation of faith working for you. You are the supervisor of your faith and faith is your employee or servant. It’s like having a brand new car and you don’t think twice about going out and starting it and it not working. That same confidence is what you must have when you pray with faith. You know that if you release this situation in faith to the Father, He is answering your prayer right then and there. He said in the scriptures, “Before you call on me, I’ll answer.” (Isa 65:24) So you just remain confident. When you work faith in this manner you are getting out of the boat, out of your comfort zone, and you are no longer hoping that something is going to happen. You know faith is going to work when you want faith to work, how you want faith to work, and how much you want faith to bring to you. It is not just hoping and praying that this thing works. You need to leave that kind of thinking right now for that is not true confidence in God.
There is no such thing as blind faith. When it is time to get out of the boat then you will know it, you will feel it inside of you. It is pulling you, drawing you because you are ready, you believe.
