I have shown you the difference between a carnal mindset and a spiritual mindset and I have shown you that you have to make a choice between the two because a carnal mindset is always set on the facts while a spiritual mindset is set only on the truth of God’s Word. Without making the choice of a spiritual mindset, you will constantly experience wavering of your faith in the truth of God’s Word because you are more focus on the facts that seem more real and lasting and doubts will arise about the power of God’s Word on your behalf and whether or not God is even working on your behalf and resulting in hesitation faith actions.
Human reasoning is part of a carnal mindset and is set on evidence picked up by the physical senses and we call them facts.
Facts are what you naturally perceive or naturally reason or can naturally expect. Facts are evidence that appear to be real. And contrary facts to the Word of God are false evidence that appears to be real. Facts are what we determine as real by what we see, hear, smell, feel, and taste in this physical realm. We see it with our natural eyes. We hear it with our natural ears. We feel and taste and smell things in this physical realm and they look really real and we call it a fact. It does exist and we think we can’t deny its existence but we are going to learn in this study that there is higher existence that we can give our attention to that eliminates all facts that show up to try and dominate and control our lives. (Definitions of facts are in RED because facts alone will put you in the RED financially and destroy everything that is near and dear to you.) Let me give you an excellent example of that very truth that we find in the bible:
Gen 37:3-4 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.12 And his brethren went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.14 And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. 17 ,,,,,And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him…23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit:...31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. KJV
Here in this scripture we have a perfect example of the results we can have as a result of depending on the facts, circumstantial evidence the enemy uses to deceive us and keep us from the results that would be produced by the Word of God and the Spirit of God. The devil and Jacob’s other sons tempted Jacob with circumstantial evidence or facts that were deceptive. The devil used the sons of Jacob to dip the coat in the blood and give it to Jacob making him think that Joseph had been devoured by some wild beast. As soon as Jacob saw the coat with the blood on it, with that deceiving evidence Jacob immediately considered the evidence as real and started speaking his son was dead and had been killed by a wild beast and his sons had not spoken a word about a wild beast or that Joseph was dead. As a result of this visible evidence Jacob fell for the trick of the devil and the sons. He said, “I’m going down to the grave and I’m going down there weeping and grieving and I am going to do it until I die.” Who told him that his son was dead? It wasn’t the sons. It was the visible evidence of the coat with the blood on it. They just brought the coat to Jacob which looked like real evidence Joseph had been killed by a wild beast and Jacob was deceived.
That’s the way Satan works with us. He just shows us the facts, all the natural, circumstantial evidence and begins to put pressure on our minds; which lets us draw our own conclusion of what it is and how things are going to turn out and with enough pressure we will either speak what we can natural expect or we will not fall for the lying evidence against the Word of God and instead speak our faith of supernatural intervention.
Satan works more on suggestion than he does in a flat out lie. And you will find that it has a way of getting into people’s minds in a better way.
Jacob’s son Joseph was alive and fine but the enemy made it look to Jacob like he was dead.
With the natural facts, Joseph’s coat with blood on it, Jacob immediately fell for the deception Satan and his sons had set up for him to believe and in doing so Jacob left the truth of the covenant he had with God of the promise that none of his children would be stolen from him. And the devil uses all the circumstantial evidence he can get to pressure us out of remembering all of our exceeding, precious promises in the covenant we have with God as well.
Satan uses facts, circumstantial evidence to deceive us. He can only use the natural or what is common to man to tempt us to give up on the truth of God’s Word about us.
What truth from the Word of God and the promises of our covenant with God have we left when we have seen the facts, the circumstantial evidence? I hope these truths I am sharing will put an end to that.
The circumstantial evidence seemed real to Jacob but it was a lie and he was so deceived that he grieved so that he died at a much younger age than his ancestors.
Facts are what a doctor could diagnose and give it a name and tell you this is your problem. Another fact is debt people can’t pay that hangs over their heads and has caused them tremendous fear and untold anxiety. Facts can be the pain in your body that just won’t go away and the doctors can’t find a real cause. Another fact many are facing today is unemployment that seems to never end. I am sure you could add some of your own facts that stare you in the face every single day that seem so real. Facts do exist.
When we are experiencing negative circumstances with our health, our finances and other negative circumstantial evidence we have to realize that evidence is only facts. And then we have got to think, what is the truth? We have to remember Jacob was deceived by the circumstantial evidence presented to him by his sons that was instigated by the devil and we too can be tricked and deceived by the enemy just as he was if we too fall for the circumstantial evidence instead remembering the truth of our covenant. In any given situation we need to know what is fact and what is truth. We may know what the professional has just told us but what is the truth? Things look a certain way but what is the truth in the matter? We must know that in any given situation or circumstance the Word of God is the truth no matter if it looks contrary to what the circumstances look like.
Truth is the Word of God. Truth is what God has spoken about you that is contrary to all the facts and it is more real than any facts. The thing we need to realize in any given situation is that the truth of God’s Word is never subject to change but all the facts in our lives are subject to change!
2 Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. KJV
We must come to this truth and make the truth of God’s Word final authority in what we believe and the evidence we use in our decision making. Truth, God’s Word, is spiritual law in the Kingdom of God and in the spirit realm. We need to take the truth of God’s Word as the truth of our lives; making it the law of our lives. That’s why the bible tells us to live by faith. Living by faith is living life with the Word of God, living by faith with the truth of God’s Word as being final authority in our lives.
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: KJV
2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) KJV
2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. AMP
We are to live by faith in God’s Word which is the truth about us. That means we can’t live by, trust in and rely on facts that we perceive by our five physical senses if they don’t align with the truth of the Word of God about us.
An excellent example of what I am talking about is when Abram dropped the facts concerning his body and circumstances when God told him the truth he would have a son in his old age. Oh yes, the facts were right there staring Abram in the face and right there to prove God wrong, to prove the promise from God was entirely wrong. IT WAS AN IMPOSSIBILITY ONE WOULD SAY! The facts were stacked against Abram! Abram was an old man, too old to have another child. And certainly the fact that proved it all an impossibility Abram could ever have a child was the fact that Sarai had never been able to have children. The bible said her womb was dead.
I can just hear the doctor. “You two are nuts if you think you can have a child now. I have told you what I have found and Sarai’s womb is dead! Face the facts people! Come on! You are acting foolishly! You are just denying the truth! Face up to the fact that she is never going to have this child that you say God told you that you will have! It’s ridiculous!”
Maybe you have experienced times in your own life where everything was opposite to what God’s Word had promised you and that you had believed and confessed over your life and situations, so what do you do now? You too must make a choice between fact and truth.
Facts are evidence we pick up by our natural senses and truth is what God has spoken we are, what we can have and what we can do. Facts and the truth of God’s Word are always in the ring of the fight of faith and we are the only ones who will determine whether it will be the truth of God’s Word or it will be the facts that we will choose as reality.
Abraham had to decide whether he would go with the facts or the truth and so will you have to make that decision time and again because there is this constant battle between the truths of God’s Word and the facts that seem so real, so convincing by our senses, training and reasoning.
Here’s what Abraham did in his time in the ring with the fight between facts and the truth of God’s Word:
Rom 4:17-21 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. KJV
God said, “I have made thee a father of many nations.” That is past tense. God was saying I have already made you a father and you are right now the father of nations! But the facts were still there saying, “You have no children so how can you be a father of nations!” God was ignoring the facts and telling Abraham he had to make a choice between His Words or the facts.
Lots of people would tell you that I can’t deny the facts but I am going to ask those same people, “Are you telling me then that I have to deny the Word of God?” See, we haven’t seen this from God’s perspective and faith’s perspective and so we have just settled for the reality of the facts instead of the Word because we believed you can’t deny the facts. We don’t deny the facts are there but we can deny them the right to dominate our lives. We have to deny the facts their right into our lives in order for faith and the Word to work every time. God’s Word has to become more real to us than the facts we see, hear, feel, taste or smell.
So it is a choice we have to make all the time whether we are going to live by the truths of God’s Word or the facts and which will we choose to live by faith or the evidence we acquire by way of our physical senses and our reasoning formed by mostly natural thinking.
Abraham didn’t even waste any more time in that ring for the fight for his faith. He threw the facts out of the ring and became the winner by the Truth! Truth proved to be the winner for Abraham and he left the ring as a winner of the birth of his promised son, Isaac. God fulfilled the promise he made to Abraham that he would be the father of many nations; Galatians 3:29 tells us he is our father of faith and so we are included in that win!
Notice what Abraham had to do to win in that fight of faith. First, he knew the facts that his age and Sarah’s were stacked against them and then the real test of their faith was the fact Sarah’s womb was dead and she never could have children! But Abraham threw those facts out of the ring for the win when he remembered what God had said that He was the One who quickens the dead (quickens dead wombs) and he acted just like God and call things that be not, the truth, as though they were. Abraham realized with this promise from God, he now had the hope he naturally didn’t have. The promise God made to him gave him all the hope he needed! So now acting in faith in the promise He considered not his own body now dead at one hundred years of age and neither did he consider the deadness of Sara’s womb. Abraham ignored all of the facts!
We too must not give any consideration to the facts that are stacked against our faith in the truth of God’s Word. Why can we not consider the facts? Because what you focus on will expand in your thinking and living by faith, focusing on facts will rob you of the faith that is in your heart.
God gives us promises in the Word of God and then we have to take them as our own from the scriptures and we then act just like Abraham, considering not, ignoring the facts whether it is a pain in the body, the debt that brings anxiety and stress or the diagnosis of the doctor. Now I am not telling you that you ignore paying the debt but I am telling you the more you focus on the debt the worse the situation will get. Putting it in the hands of the Lord and keeping your mind rested on the truth by God’s grace, God’s supernatural ability this debt is paid then it will get done but not if you keep your mind on how it is going to get paid.
We must recognize that the medical professionals are only looking at the situation from the natural point of view, from the facts they got from the test they have done. Unless they have spiritual perception they will only be able to give you the facts. This is what the Church has to realize. And most of the time the Church is not equipped with this truth that I am sharing with you and so there is real fear in them to go the way of faith because it seems so unnatural. What we fail to realize is that faith is not natural but spiritual and supernatural and it can’t be seen naturally. Faith is not perceived by anything natural.
See lots of people so not realize that faith is also evidence in any given situation and here is proof:
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. KJV
Faith is substance and evidence of the truth of God’s Word.
Faith is invisible to the natural perception but faith is still real and faith has evidence. The evidence of faith is not seen because it is evidence of the realm of Heaven you can’t naturally perceive by your physical senses. Walking by faith, living by faith the only evidence that you need is faith evidence. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. If the Word of God promised it to you then Heaven has already given it to you and faith is the channel, the voucher, the title deed to you receiving it here on earth from Heaven. What you need may not be manifest on the earth but with faith you can bring down to this realm what you need that is already up there in Heaven for you to receive.
I heard the other day that a person had a vision of angels hurrying to gather body parts from Heaven’s body parts storeroom to bring to earth for those who need an arm or leg or liver, heart, etc. These body parts are stored there until someone makes a demand on these parts with faith.
Now with the diagnosis of the doctor you have the choice of having the surgery or taking the medication or you can take the promise of God which is even more powerful than the surgery or the medication. That was proved to you with the story of Abraham and Sara when they held onto the promise of God with their faith and received the promised son. Faith evidence made the dead womb of Sara come alive and renewed youth to Abraham’s and Sarah’s bodies so Sarah could conceive. Now how powerful is that?
Yes, you have the choice of doing what the medical professionals tell you to do but you have to realize that every time you choose a natural means to take care of your problems you are losing ground in the ring of the fight of faith. You will return to that ring many times in your life for the fight of facts against the truth of God’s Word, God’s promises to you and you will have to decide every time which one, truth or facts, are you going to choose to win. You are the one who determines whether faith in the promises of God wins or faith in the natural facts wins.
It seems strange to go with what you cannot naturally perceive but what you have to realize is that the Word of God created all things that has any substance in this earth and the Word of God can change all things. We see this truth of faith having dominion over substance with the story of Abraham and Sarah we just looked at and here are a couple other scriptures to prove the power of faith over matter, over substance in the earth:
John 2:1-10 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. KJV
Num 17:1-8 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.3 And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.4 And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.5 And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.6 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. KJV
The facts in these scriptures were there was water in the pots and not wine and there were only rods brought into the tabernacle of the congregation and not branches yielding almonds but faith substance, faith evidence changed all of that. Jesus wanted wine and the water (substance) changed to wine. God used the rod of one man to show the man He had chosen and the substance of Heaven caused the rod to bud, blossom and yield almonds all in one night. When you use faith you can’t consider the facts, the natural evidence but instead consider the faith evidence of the promise God made to you.
You will have to choose like Abraham between fact and the truth.
Living by faith is not faith in the facts or what we perceive by the physical senses! Faith is of the spirit realm because you can’t see it and so you have to put your faith in a promise of God which is the truth! When we live by faith we have to believe only the truth of the Word of God! That’s exactly what Abraham did.
See this is why it is so important to make a quality decision that the Word of God is final authority in your life! You are the only one who can make that decision. Your wife or husband or anybody else cannot make that decision for you. I am telling you, once you make that decision something changes in the spirit and that’s powerful! Now I am also going to tell you that you will be tested on that decision. Mark 4 proves this to be true because it tells us immediately the enemy came for the Word’s sake, he comes to steal the promise that naturally we don’t have any other evidence of but faith evidence and to steal our faith in the promise. That’s why you open your mouth and speak out your own decision you are making God’s Word final authority in your life and you are not looking at the facts!
All things that exist were created by the Word of God which is truth and so all natural things, all facts can be changed by the truth of the Word of God.
Facts make the truth of God’s Word look and sound like a lie, that you are believing a lie or speaking a lie; but the bible tells us,
John 17:17: thy Word is truth. KJV
We must establish in our heart that the Word of God is the truth. And we are going to have to discipline our flesh to do that because there are two opinions, one is coming out of our spirit which holds our faith and the other one comes out of our head, reasoning and senses. We are going to have to make our flesh and natural reasoning and what can be perceived by our natural senses bow down to our spirit. We are going to have to then start decreeing the truth and acting on the truth and it will be established and replace the facts and all circumstantial evidence.
The truth is you are not broke! That’s the truth! The truth is you have been made rich and abundantly supplied for that’s what the Word of God, the truth, declares about you. And it is the truth that we know and speak that will set us free from all the negative facts, negative circumstances:
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. KJV
There is a lot of deception going on today and the bible even talks about in the end times that the very elect will be deceived. How could that be? Because they didn’t take the Word of God as the truth in their lives but instead they received the facts and the circumstantial evidence as truth and the word of the professionals as the truth and reality; but the bible tells us,
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? KJV
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; KJV
No facts should ever take priority in our mind over the truth of God’s Word no matter how real they seem and no matter who gave us the facts.
Facts are what a doctor could diagnose as your health problem. Facts are unpayable and mounting debt that hangs over your head every day and gives you untold anxiety every day. A fact is the pain in your body that just doesn’t go away. Fact is you are unemployed and it looks like you will stay that way for a long time.
The real truth is your Redeemer Jesus redeemed you or purchased your freedom from every sickness and disease. (Galatians 3:13) The truth is Jesus became poor in order that you become enriched and abundantly supplied. (2 Cor 8:9) Truth is we can seek the Kingdom’s operation in our lives and every need is met. (Mt 6:33) The fact is you may be unemployed but the truth is that the Blessing of the Kingdom is still working for you and making you rich without all the toil while you are doing heaven’s assignment and pays better than a job. (Prov 10:22) The truth is we are living by Heaven’s economy where there is no financial famine going on. (Eph 1:3)
Facts are something we can’t deny for they do exist in this world or in the earth’s realm. The truth of God’s Word on the other hand is what we cannot afford to deny as reality on earth in our lives for it is real in both realms of Heaven and earth.
Facts contrary to the truth of God’s Word are not something Christians should give their time and focus because anything we focus on expands in our thinking. Focusing on facts contrary to the truth of God’s Word overrides the truth of God’s Word in our thinking and results in the facts determining our outcome which can be destructive and even deadly. Worst of all we tend to speak the facts we have on our minds and that means through our words we take possession of these facts that produce without fail all kinds of limitations and restrictions this world system can place on us, our words produce untold anxiety and stress and produce marriage and family problems and produce an early death and the negative, destructive list goes on and on.
But that also means that if we choose instead the truth of God’s Word as our focus, we can have the results of it as well. That’s why the bible tells us,
Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: KJV
Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. KJV
2 Cor 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; KJV
I don’t care if your pastor, your priest, your most trusted friend, your doctor or even your Mother dearest speak some facts to you or diagnosed you with something that is contrary to the Word of God; they maybe facts but they are not the truth about you and you don’t have to settle for these facts and receive these facts as reality in your life. We can’t deny the fact evidence but we can deny facts the right to take control of our mind, our focus and with God’s Word we can and must deny all facts the right to have any part of our lives, any power or dominion or authority over us since they are contrary to the truth of God’s Word about us. You just have to settle it once and for all that God’s Word is the truth about you.
This article is all about you can and you must make a choice every day between facts and the truth. Which will you choose facts or truth?
See this is why it is so important to make a quality decision that the Word of God is final authority in your life! You are the only one who can make that decision. I am telling you, once you make that decision something changes in the spirit realm and that’s powerful! Now I am also going to tell you the truth that you will be tested on this decision. Mark 4 proves this to be true because it tells us immediately the enemy came for the Words sake, he will come to take the promise from you. That’s when you again must open your mouth and speak out emphatically your decision to make God’s Word final authority in your life and you are not considering the facts any longer!
Your spiritual enemy constantly uses facts to enslave you and imprison you but the Holy Spirit speaks the truth of God’s Word and God’s will that will free you from all imprisonment and enslavement of all facts.
I wish some Christian had told me what I am telling you today a long time ago. It sure would have helped me to walk more clearly by faith and not by sight or facts.
Christians need to realize in any given situation that facts contrary to the Word of God have no power, dominion or authority over them but what they give them in their mind, their words and their actions. That’s why meditation of the Word of God and declarations of faith in the Word of God is so needful.
The truth of God’s Word is never subject to change but all the facts in a Christian’s life are subject to change by the Word of God, the truth!
The truth has the power to change all facts that are stacked against us. Submission to and usage of the Word of God in ones’ life has the power to change every fact to what God has promised you. On the other hand facts have the power to destroy all hope of and reality of the promises of God’s Word so that your outcome will be what you naturally can expect or what you would not desire. This should be good reason to make God’s Word, the truth, the final authority in our lives whether it is concerning our health, our provision, our family, our protection in this world, and our final outcome in any situation. All the facts that threaten us and the spiritual enemy who comes against us are no match for the truth of God’s Word as we hold fast to it.
We need the truth to be more real to us than facts because we live in a time when everything that can be shaken is being shaken but God’s Kingdom shall never be shaken and God’s Word will stand forever.
The LORD Himself told us in Malachia 3:6, “I change not.” God and His Word will never change but facts that look and sound opposite of the Word of God can always be changed!
God never changes! God will do exactly what He has told us He will do every time! God will make good His Word to us because God never changes His mind nor attaches fine print to any promise He has made to us just in case there is a defect in the promise nor has He added a disclaimer to any of the promises He has made to us. He and His Word are the same yesterday, today and forever which is just the opposite of facts that we found are subject to change. The Word of God will never change about you and that’s why you can confidently take a faith stance on God’s promises and base your very life on them!
I think a lot of times we just haven’t realized that to live by facts alone is being carnal minded. We have been programmed to believe if you can see it, hear it, and feel it then it must be the truth and you can’t deny it. Some Christians have the thinking if professionals tell you what they found, the facts; then you don’t have any other choice but believe it or you are in denial. Well, if that professional doesn’t live by the truth of God’s Word and is facts minded only, then they are always going to tell you what the facts are because that’s all they can discern and they think you are just being foolish if you don’t listen to them. We think if we can see it or hear it or feel it then it must be the truth and you can’t deny it. But what if that same professional told you what facts they had found but then reminded you what the Word of God said about your particular situation; which would you believe the facts or the truth? You would probably agree with them the truths of God’s Word.
We have to be diligent not to receive the report of facts but rather receive the counsel of the truth of God’s Word.
Living by faith we have to completely ignore the facts we are picking up by the physical senses otherwise the facts will destroy our faith. The Word even tells us that,
2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) KJV
2 Cor 5:7 For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight. TEV
Living by faith in the truth of God’s Word is how we live no matter the facts!
Yes, they are facts but they deny the truth of God’s Word as reality! We have to realize this that these facts are denying the very truth of God’s Word! Yes, we can’t deny these facts do exist but we can and must deny them access to our faith and deny their operation in our lives since we live by faith in the truth of God’s Word! Let’s deny the facts rather than deny the Word of God! This is how it must be! Abraham, our Father of faith and everyone else in the bible that lived by faith operated by faith in the truth of God’s Word and not the facts and so must we! Jesus, our Example, taught us how to live by faith and He acted in the same way. He told people to rise and walk when the fact was they couldn’t walk. He raised the dead when they were dead, even Lazarus whose body had been in the tomb for four days (fact) but He spoke the truth they were asleep rather than dead and they came back from the dead. Why did Jesus not speak death in these situations because He lived by faith and He didn’t give death power with His words. That’s speaking by faith.
We have to act just like Jesus and give none of our time and attention to the facts when the facts say one thing but the truth says something entirely opposite.
Your words of faith, like Jesus’ words, will always seem naturally ridiculous but you are not living naturally but by faith.
How many Christians do you talk to every day and they are constantly talking about the facts. “My doctor told me…” “That’s just what you can expect as you get old…” Those are all facts! What they need to do is go to the Word and see what the Word says about their health and start speaking that and then there would be real change. They need to find from the Word of God things should get better for them as they have more birthdays under this New Covenant filled with better promises.
I was thinking the other day, what a difference it would make if I was facing a situation, a fact contrary to the Word of truth about me; but then people would come around me and speak to me the truth of God’s Word like Jesus did in His days on earth and what a difference it would make in my soul, my mind, my will, my emotions, my intellect and my imagination and eventually my outcome. What a difference this would make in my faith in God’s Word!
What a difference it would make in the Church if we spoke the Word of God only and not the facts! I am praying the truths of this article will start manifesting in the Church of the Living God!
Somehow Christians think they have to accept the facts. People, even Christians, think you are nuts if you don’t accept the facts. They say, “Well, Jane, you can’t deny the facts .” And I would like to say to those individual who tell me this, “Then are you telling me that we are instead supposed to deny the Word of God which is the truth about us?” Try telling that to Abraham and the rest of those listed in the Hall of faith in Hebrews11. They wouldn’t listen to you either.
Rom 4:17-21 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. KJV
You must see in that scripture Abram considered not, ignored the facts and was strong in faith. If we are going to be strong in faith, we have to follow Abram’s example and give the facts none of our time or attention. Strong faith is a product of focus on the Word rather than any facts stacked against us.
The results were miraculous for those who lived by faith, were strong in faith and who ignored the facts stacked against their faith in God’s Word. God gave Abraham his son of promise, Noah and his family was saved from the flooding of the entire earth when it had never rained before, Sarai received strength to conceive a seed which was an impossibility according to human reasoning, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau before he died and the result was the blessing worked better for them than it did for him, by faith Moses delivered an enslaved Israel from Egypt passing through the Red Sea onto dry land, through faith and not sight these men and women of faith subdued kingdoms they naturally could not have conquered, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness was made strong, waxed valiant in fight, women received their dead raised to life again; and “these having obtained a good report through faith received the promise”. Try telling these people you can’t ignore the facts, the circumstantial evidence! It’s too late for me also to listen to such ridiculous, human reasoning.
See we are so carnally minded, even in the body of Christ, that we drop the truth when the facts are staring us right in the face and the professionals have told us what they have found. That’s what it means when it says the carnal mind is enmity against God. We just don’t want to hear it for it doesn’t make sense when all the facts prove otherwise.
Think what a powerhouse the Church would be today if we were going around all the time ignoring the facts, placed no focus or faith in them and rather become professionals at living by faith. This is what I pray happens when Christians read this article! Please Lord, this is my prayer for the body of Christ that their spiritual eyes be opened to these truths I share with them so they no longer remain victims but victors and no longer live out of the vanity of their mind.
Facts are a reality in this earth realm but as I told you earlier, Christians should be living life out of Heaven’s dimension and reality and that changes everything, including facts and leads us into living a life in the spirit which means living a supernatural life. Now I know some of you Christians don’t want to hear the word “supernatural” but every time God answers a prayer or heals your body that is supernatural. Christians have to wake up to the truth they can’t live on this earth without the supernatural intervention of God because our enemy, who is spirit, cannot be defeated without the supernatural intervention of supernatural angels assisting us. I hope I am making myself clear so that you don’t get your head beat in and your life and family destroyed by a supernatural devil!
We meditate the Word until it becomes a rhema word or a revelation word to us and it is then we just know that we know this is reality and that’s when we believe. Then we speak the Word as truth or reality in our lives and that puts faith, our servant, to work. Faith has no choice but to go out there and make it happen, change the facts to the truth of God’s Word. Here’s the formula:
Meditate, focusing on the Word produces revelation or rhema word and we then begin at that moment believing this is the truth about us and not the facts + we then by direction of the Holy Spirit start declaring the truth over the facts as reality = our servant faith goes to work, manifesting the reality of the truth of God’s Word in our lives. Faith seems hard when we don’t follow this formula. We make faith difficult but faith it is not difficult. Faith is a servant that produces the reality of the rhema Word we have spoken as truth or reality in any situation. The biggest problem is we are afraid of what people will think if we speak the Word instead of talking the problem or the facts. It is the fear of man that destroys our faith and keeps faith working for us as a servant.
The bible tells us all facts are subject to change by faith in the truth of God’s Word.
2 Cor 4:18 Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting. AMP
So every fact contrary to the Word of God confronting us at the present moment is subject to change by the Word of God if we no longer consider these facts as truth about us and final authority and reality in our lives. All facts are “changeable, temporal, brief and fleeting” the Word tells us. So we unequivocally must understand we cannot, must not set our focus on the contradictory facts, considering them all the time as our final outcome and the final authority over our life and looking at them as a reality we must accept.
Col 3:2-3 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. 3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. AMP
When we have pain that is a fact! But the truth is that Jesus bore away all pain for us! We have the right by Christ to deny it the right to stay in our bodies because Jesus bore it away! When the fact may be that you are broke, living in poverty and lack and debt; you can go before the Court of Heaven and cry out for justice in those situations because the truth is Jesus became so very poor in order that you can be rich, abundantly supplied! We need to not only speak the Word of God but we need to go before the court of heaven and get some justice in our situations! Jesus taught it here in this scripture:
Luke 18:1-8 ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). 2 He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man. 3 And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary. 4 And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man, 5 Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me. 6 Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says! 7 And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf? 8 I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. AMP
Pray includes getting some justice on our behalf!
Pray is not complaining and wasting time telling others to pray for us and complaining some more but it is going to the throne of God, the throne of justice and getting us some justice. It is injustice to Jesus for us to be sick and broke since His finished work freed us from it all. The Court of Heaven will hear your case because of that very truth that Jesus bore away all sickness and disease and pain and became poor so you could be rich, abundantly supplied! Heaven not only will hear your case but do something about it! It is an injustice to you to have pain and sickness and disease and poverty and lack and debt!
We have been taught well what the bible refers to as the Law of sin and death! It is a spiritual law but it is not the law of our new born again spirit. The Law of Sin and Death operates naturally in this physical realm but we are not of this world we are born of heaven and we operate out of heaven with the laws of heaven and the reality of heaven.
The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus is the Law of our new being and it manifests the reality of heaven if we choose it rather than the Law of Sin and Death that came into operation in the earth with the sin of the First Man, Adam.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. AMP
Believers in Christ must become aware of the spiritual laws of heaven that govern our lives now as believers in Christ and produce for us supernatural, far above what we naturally could expect.
Col 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. KJV
Rom 8:6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. AMP
What is the reality of Heaven? The Word of God and its spiritual laws and spiritual principles. Applying these in our life situations instead of settling for what we discern naturally to be the truth is how we receive the reality of heaven which means we live in divine health, free from all curse in the earth which includes being broke, busted and disgusted! See, we are already citizens of Heaven. When our spirit got born again by the Spirit of God, we were born again of heaven and we are actually citizens of Heaven now.
Phil 3:20 But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven,… AMP
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: KJV
Eph 2:18-19 For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him].19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household. AMP
It is through living by faith in God’s Word (truth) and not by sight (facts) that we partake of heaven’s resources. The truth tells us our needs are all met according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That means we have to put our focus not on the fact we are broke but on the truth and reality of God’s Word in our lives even when we look like we are broke, don’t ever have enough and living paycheck to paycheck or social security check to social security check! I know this all sounds foolish to the mind but the bible calls us fools if we don’t!
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? KJV
Prov 1:20-33 Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. 21 She calls out to the crowds along the main street, and to those in front of city hall. 22 "You simpletons!" she cries. "How long will you go on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools fight the facts? 23 Come here and listen to me! I'll pour out the spirit of wisdom upon you and make you wise.24 "I called you so often, but you didn't come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. 25 You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered. 26 So I will laugh when you are in trouble! I will mock you when disaster overtakes you — 27 when calamity overcomes you like a storm, when you are engulfed by trouble, and when anguish and distress overwhelm you.28 "I will not answer when they cry for help. Even though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me. 29 For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD. 30 They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them. 31 That is why they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way. They must experience the full terror of the path they have chosen. 32 For they are simpletons who turn away from me — to death. They are fools, and their own complacency will destroy them. 33 But all who listen to me will live in peace and safety, unafraid of harm." NLT
It is a dangerous thing to live without the truth of God’s Word being the reality of our lives and instead living by the facts of life!
Here are some examples clearly showing us all facts are subject to change even the biggest ones, the most intimidating ones, the scariest ones:
Fact was, David was no threat or equal to the giant, Goliath, but David slew Goliath. Does that make any natural sense? No! Sounds to me like supernatural.
Fact was there was a huge, massive wall around Jericho, large enough for chariots to ride on. God told Israel to take the city by walking around the perimeter of the walled city and shout at a particular time and when they obeyed the wall of Jericho, that thick wall chariots could ride on, came tumbling down. Does that make any sense at all to walk around a walled city and shout and the wall comes down? No! But it made perfect sense to God. Again it sounds to me like a supernatural force destroyed the facts for Israel that day. So what about those fortified walls of facts and figures and diagnosis and human reasoning, etc. that stand in front of us each day and defy us, are they subject to the same supernatural intervention? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Fact was Jesus and the disciples were in a boat and were facing winds with hurricane strength but Jesus spoke, “Peace! Be still!” And that was the end of the storm! Does that make any sense at all that a storm would seize if you spoke to it with authority? No! But it made perfect sense to Jesus and He got all over his disciples for not speaking to the wind and storm and asked them why they were so fearful and had no faith. He expected them to do just exactly as He did because they had the same authority.
How about the facts of storms in your own life with seeming hurricane force, will that same supernatural, spoken authority make it cease in your life? Absolutely! Positively! Just build your faith in your own authoritative, supernatural words by the Word of God!
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. KJV
Phil 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; KJV
Now here’s the most supernatural of all I have just mentioned. Fact was we were all sinners but Jesus on the Cross said, “It is finished,” and that ended the power of sin, death, Hell and the grave and demonic oppression and demonic control in our lives. Does that make sense we could be delivered to such a degree in our lives just because of what one man, Jesus, said and did? Absolutely not! Again, it made perfect sense to Father God and Jesus and so let’s just allow it to make sense to us!
This kind of thinking is what Jesus told us we must have in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.
Matt 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. KJV
We have to have child like faith and receive the truth as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Children don’t have to reason things out, they just believe without question.
Every one of these bible examples I just shared with you looked impossible to change but the truth of God’s Word won out over all the facts and it will do no less for those who choose the truth instead of the facts as reality in their lives! See facts are facts but there is something greater than facts, higher law in both the earth realm and heaven and it is the Word of God! So why not eliminate the facts in your thinking and start meditating the higher laws of Heaven, the truth, the Word of God about you!
I am not saying we deny the facts exist but we must not put our focus on them and we must certainly deny any facts the right to our lives, controlling our lives that is contrary to what the Word of God decrees about us. Again, we must heed what the bible tells us plainly to do with all facts that contradict the Word of God,
2 Cor 4:18 Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting. AMP
I am not talking about being irresponsible but I am saying we are acting responsible when we live by faith in God’s Word and what it says about us and applying the truth of God’s Word to those facts and that changes each and every fact that is subject to change.
