I want to share with you some increase Word so that your faith is empowered by it to prosper and increase you more and more. I am going to start with Luke 5:5 because there is so much we can learn from it how to increase.
Luke 5:1-2 (KJV) And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
These professional fishermen were washing their nets after they returned from a night trying to catch some fish for their business to sell the next day.
Luke 5:3 (KJV) And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
Jesus was a teacher and His ministry was to teach the people how to operate in the earth through the Kingdom of God; in order to remove the burdens of people’s lives who were struggling and trying to make it, to eradicate poverty, lack and debt as a result of the curse and also the world’s Babylonian system that is designed to destroy people’s lives, mentally and physically and emotionally and kept them working and not getting anywhere. So, Jesus came to teach the principles of a whole other system, a supernatural system. That’s what I desire to do with my ministry today for you.
As a result of that Jesus got into Peter’s boat and taught people and when He had finished teaching the people,
Luke 5:4 (KJV) Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
Draught means “a large increase”. The Living Bible says,
Luke 5:4 (TLB) Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets and you will catch a lot of fish!”
Jesus wasn’t suggesting something to Simon. He was commanding him that he was going to catch a lot of fish as he went out to where Jesus was directing him to and catch a lot of fish.
Jesus was not a fisherman by trade before He announced His ministry; but once He announced His ministry and the anointing came on Him, now He’s got the ability to be able to help anybody, to deliver anyone from mental oppression, financial oppression, and so forth.
I believe Peter and his fishing partners were under pressure every day to go out and catch lots of fish for their fishing business and when you don’t catch fish for your business there will be some financial pressures as a result. He had to pay his help and there was pressure when they caught nothing. I believe Peter was under that kind of pressure and I believe that is why Jesus got into Peter’s boat and Peter had a mind to listen because he was under the money pressure.
Sometimes people don’t have a mind to hear until they really get under the money pressure. As long as they can just do without or make things happen anyway, they are okay. As long as they can just pay this car note, house mortgage or tuition or student loan; they are okay. But one day in many people’s lives the financial money pressure comes; they are in debt over their head or they can’t pay this or that, their bills are due, or their employment taxes are due and so forth. I want you to make it real here what is happening to Peter. This is a real, true account of a man who had a fishing business with partners and was under the pressure to pay the bills.
Luke 5:4-5 (KJV) Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net.
The Word there is not logos any more but it’s rhema, it’s revelation.
Many times, you can’t move in the things of God if you don’t have revelation. If you don’t have revelation of what can happen, then many times people don’t move at all. If you can see something, you can go somewhere; but when people can’t see they can’t go. That’s what happened to the rich young ruler who came to Jesus and Jesus told him to give to the poor and he would have treasure in Heaven and come and follow me. He couldn’t see what Jesus was showing him for he saw himself losing his money. If you see that and especially when it is your last, then usually people don’t give; but what you have to do is let that thinking go because God will never take something from you without giving you something in return. So, you got to trust God.
Here Peter was in a situation and I don’t think he had any other choices. I think he had run out of all kinds of ideas what to do and possibly borrowed money until he could not borrow any more money. So, Peter said to the Lord,
Luke 5:5-9 (KJV) And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
Peter could then pay his employees and the bills in his business. He was out from under the pressure of time and money.
So, now I want to talk to you about no more limits and one of the limits we place on ourselves is time and time was never to be our master; but rather be our servant. We tell time what to do. What faith declares, it makes time bow. So, time is suspended when you use your faith in God and His Word.
Where it would take Peter a month or a year to bring in that amount of fish, he brought them into his business in one hour. I believe God wants to do that in your life if you will also trust Him as Peter did and do what He tells you to do because He is speaking to you as He did Peter.
When you are directed of the Lord to give and sow your seed, don’t look at time. Look at the truth that faith is suspending time, causing time to no longer function and you have to wait on time for something to come back to you. The moment you give, something happens, and you receive it by faith just like that. Always give with the right heart and give by the direction of the Holy Spirit and watch God give it back to you good measure, pressed down, and running over will men give to you.
The woman in the Old Testament had her and her son’s last meal left and she could not wait on time. She couldn’t wait for several days to eat. She had to have it now. She gave the prophet her last meal she and her son were going to eat and die and as a result she had a same day harvest.
So, I declare in your life, in twenty-four hours you will have the harvest you need. Let’s believe for it right now. Faith is cancelling time and you are getting your breakthrough because time has been suspended. So, start giving the Lord praise your harvest has come because time has been suspended by faith and the money pressure is gone off of you.
