Luke 16:11,12 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? KJV
How do you treat possessions of other people when you borrow them and use them? Do you handle their things with the thought you want them to prosper? It is necessary if you want to prosper that you treat the property of others in a way that would prosper them for this is another way you can sow. This is what Jesus was talking about when He said, “Give you that which is your own.”
Here’s what I am talking about,
- When you go into a hotel you should leave your room better then you found it and don’t take the extra soap and shampoo home to use for that means added cost to the hotel owner.
- When you move from rental property you need to leave it looking better then when you moved in; removing stains on the carpet, repairing walls, fix the leaking sink faucet or fix the toilet that keeps running, etc., for again this is prospering the landlord’s rental business and another opportunity to sow some seed for your own prosperity.
- When you leave the office or place of work don’t carry off the company’s stuff. That is stealing from them and their prosperity.
Get into a habit of sowing into the prosperity of others like the hotel management and the landlord, and the prosperity of the place of your employment and God will be faithful to see that prosperity is sown back into your life and your things.
If you do the opposite and take and take it may not seem to matter but it does because you are stealing the prosperity of another man. Jesus told you to be faithful with what is another man’s if you are going to have your own prosperity.
Many take or steal from their employer because they think they deserve it and many take from hotel rooms because they paid for the room and so it’s theirs but that’s showing immaturity because it’s all about them. They have not understood what it means to be crucified with Christ on the cross and certainly they are not operating in the Kingdom principle, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
You and I need to be honorable people who sow into the prosperity of others. Instead of taking and taking and taking from the prosperity of others, we need to be sowing and sowing and sowing into the prosperity of others.
Jesus told you if you are faithful over what belongs to another man then you will have that which is your own. You could even end up owning the business. You could end up getting an upgrade in your hotel package. You are giving and you shall receive.
You need to continually look for ways to prosper others for this is a kingdom principle that will not only bless others but guarantee your prosperity will be increased as well.
How do you treat other people’s possessions? How do you treat other people’s CDs and DVDs, books, tools, or car? Do you return them in better or worse condition than the way you got them?
This mindset of sowing and reaping has to become your mindset daily if you are to have what is our own and see any prosperity increase.
These tests of how you handle another person’s things can trip you up in your own prosperity. These issues affect everything in the natural and also in the spirit for Jesus told you the financial realm and the spirit realm are connected permanently when He said,
Luke 16:11,12 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
God cannot trust you with the power of the anointing when He can’t trust you with money. It’s very important you realize the financial realm and the spirit realm are permanently connected together.
Here are some more tests for faithfulness with another man’s possessions.
