More Information How the Holy Spirit & Angels Speak to Us

We have looked at the incidents with Jesus and how He perceived power had gone out of him and He perceived the thoughts of the religious leaders.  We saw that Peter perceived the man had faith to be healed and we saw where Simeon had a revelation of the Spirit that he would not die until he saw the Messiah and Moses received revelation from God he was to be Israel’s deliverer out of Egypt.  Those were all vague.

When it comes to the Spirit guiding and showing, you will need more information.

Simeon needed to know the timing of the Holy Spirit to go into the temple at the right time to see the Messiah.  Moses needed the timing at the burning bush and how he was going to be the deliverer.

But we see when the Holy Spirit spoke to Philip and to Peter He spoke specifics, To Philip He said, “Go near and join yourself to that chariot.”  To Peter He said, “Behold, three men seek thee.  Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.”

When the Holy Spirit speaks you are going to hear it in your spirit and you need to get used to receiving specific instruction, information from the Holy Spirit from your spirit.

Some have thought they heard the audible voice of God, which they could have, but most of the time it just turns out to be that they just heard the Holy Spirit speak to them in their spirit.

When you hear the Holy Spirit speak to you, you are in the spirit so to speak and you are not sure if everybody else heard.  It just comes out of the clear blue sky because it is that specific.

People wish God would speak to them but what they are saying is they want the Holy Spirit to speak to them.

I have clearly shown that most of the time the Father speaks to us and the Lord Jesus gives us direction but it is through the Holy Spirit through nonverbal communication.

We have to remember in the life of Christ on the earth that Jesus ministered as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit and the scriptures tell us Jesus perceived thoughts and He perceived power was gone out from Him instead of saying the Father told Him this or the Father told Him that.

Jesus is our example of how we are going to be led by the Spirit of God and mostly it will be by revelation, perception, discernment, or just a knowing.

There will be times when we perceive others around us just as Peter did with the man who had faith to be healed or we perceive someone’s thoughts as Jesus did with the religious leaders or we perceive something like Paul did with danger of a shipwreck.
The point I want to make is that you can perceive something and you can dwell on it and gain a little more clarity when you perceive something but when you hear the Holy Spirit speak to you that is specific and so you don’t need any further clarification for there is direction and instruction He gives you.

Paul in the middle of shipwreck, Acts 27, perceived in his spirit they would lose the cargo, the ship and their lives but actually what happened was they did lose the cargo but then an angel tells him later they will lose the ship but their lives would be spared.  When the angel with the message from God speaks to Paul it is a specific word:

Acts 27:24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. KJV

Paul told them he believed God, however they would be shipwrecked but they were to stay with the ship because if they didn’t they would lose their lives.

Acts 27:31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. KJV

So we see from the words of the angel there was provision given and instructions.  They had to stay with the ship or lose their lives.  The Father’s provision was for not one of them to be hurt or lose their lives.

Paul had perceived originally what the devil had planned and what was going to happen if God didn’t intervene.  God did save them although they lost the cargo and the ship.  So the angel of God was sent to Paul to give him the message Father God would intervene for them.

When the Holy Spirit speaks or an angel speaks a message from God to you it is specific.

Remember what the Spirit said to Philip in Acts 8:29 and then what the angel spoke to Philip in Acts 8:26:

Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. KJV

Acts 8:26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. KJV

When the angel spoke to Philip he was very specific.  He knew exactly where he was supposed to go.
