Elisha and His Servant

I want to give you a good example in the Old Testament where you can see how connection to the spirit realm brought supernatural help, protecting the prophet of God.  This is also available to us today in these dangerous times in which we live.

2 Kings 6:14-17 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. KJV

Here is God’s man seeing in the spirit realm the supernatural help God has provided for him in this dangerous situation and at the same time he sees a natural army that has come to get him. God wanted Elisha to know He was protected.  If Elisha hadn’t seen the army God had prepared to protect him he would have panicked and he probably would have been killed.

We need to be able to see things like this in the spirit so that we know we are protected by a heavenly host in our time.  So it is paramount that we see and hear, sense things in the spirit realm and the physical realm at the same time.

I believe it would be good for you to stop right now and pray a prayer just as Elisha prayed for his servant so you too can see in the spirit realm and see what God is doing for you right now.

Seeing in the spirit realm and in the natural realm at the same time was normal for Adam and Eve and Elisha and it ought to be normal in our lives as born again spiritual children of God. The Book of Acts and the reality of the spirit realm are to be a part of normal Christianity.
