How do you teach teens the seriousness of sin when it is being normalized not only by society but by their peers?

  1. First, create an example. Let your children see how you live by the application of the Word of God in your daily life to create faith to trust the Lord that produces results they can see.  That will make them stay close to you because they will want those kinds of results.  This is what happened with Timothy in the New Testament when he was influenced by the faith of his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice.

2 Timothy 1:5 (KJV) When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother

Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

  1. You teach your children what you know and pray the Lord will do the rest.

  2. Start confessing things over your children preferably from the Word of God that has the power in it to produce the results you desire. I share with you scriptures I have used many times and they produced exactly what I declared over my son.

Psalm 138:8 (KJV) The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: …

Proverbs 22:6 (TLB) Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older, he will remain upon it.

  1. You can also declare things over your children like; my child will love the Lord with all of their heart and they will be mightily used of the Lord in teaching their generation how to live out of the Kingdom of God.

  2. You got to fight the devil supernaturally and not naturally with words of faith and with an example.
