138 - JUST TRUST GOD, NOV 8, 2015

Adam through his sin brought us down to this what I call “low life” of trusting in self and all natural things and not trusting in God. We have thus been programmed from day one on this earth to trust in natural man, even self and natural things and then it makes it hard to trust God. But I declare by faith today that shall be no more in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus, the Last Man Adam, came and taught how to trust God and demonstrated for us how to trust God:
• When it came to physical problems, Jesus could heal the sick no matter their condition and even if the doctors could do no more for the woman with the issue of blood and He healed and made whole the lepers when there was no man made cure, He healed the blind and the crippled no matter how long they had been in that condition. Jesus just trusted God and ministered healing just as He saw and heard from the Father.
• When it came to getting provision, Jesus didn’t get worried like His disciples when they didn’t have provision to feed the multitudes that came to hear Him and to be healed. Jesus just trusted God and blessed the food and it multiplied so they fed everyone and had food left over.
• When Jesus had no money to pay taxes Jesus knew where to get the money, out of the fish’s mouth. Jesus just trusted God and He knew where to find the tax money.
• When Jesus needed transportation, Jesus knew where to find transportation, a donkey to ride through Jerusalem without cost to Him. Jesus just trusted God and not Himself for He knew God had already spoken to a man to provide the donkey. (No Man can say no to God when God speaks to them to provide for His own.)
• When Jesus needed a room for the last supper with His disciples, He knew just the person who would provide the room. Jesus just trusted God because no man can say no to God when God speaks to them to provide for His own.

In every case Jesus didn’t get under pressure of this world when he faced problems of sickness and disease and death of a dear friend, lack of provision, no money to pay expenses, transportation needed, a room needed (that’s comparable to rent or mortgage payment); because Jesus didn’t trust in himself or others but He trusted God. Pressure of this world is designed to destroy faith and trust in God and the pressure makes a person trust in themselves and seek help by natural means; but trusting God will destroy the power of pressure of this world and faith will arise where we just know that we know God has already done it and we just come into a restful state and that’s where supernatural miracles are released.

What I am trying to show you is that Jesus was tempted like as we are when there is sickness and disease, even incurable sickness and disease and death, little provision, no money, no transportation and no housing or comparable to us facing a mortgage or rent payment. He faced the pressure of all these things we do but He demonstrated in all these situations that all we need to do is just trust God and not ourselves and not run to natural man to find natural remedies. He knows trusting in all these natural things destroys our faith to trust in God. Yes, seeking natural help destroys our faith to trust in God. And so the Church has come to the place where they are just as dependent on this world as the heathen. They are costing the government of their nation just as much as the heathen of the nation for their healthcare and provision. They are trusting in themselves and working just as hard as the heathen at a job or jobs to get just enough provision, just get enough money to pay the bills and pay on the debt of their home and car. This is all trusting in another god called mammon. (Matthew 6)

Jesus’ faith and trust in God was under assault of the enemy just as ours have been with our health, our provision, getting enough money to pay for things, getting transportation, getting housing, etc. but Jesus trusted God. He was tempted in all ways and yet without sin because what is not of faith is sin. When Jesus’ faith and trust in God were under an assault of the devil, Jesus trusted in God’s spoken and written Word and He tells us this is how we can and will trust God.

Matthew 4:4 But He replied, It has been written, Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. AMP

Jesus’ faith and trust was in the Word of God. That’s what came out of Him when His faith and trust in the Lord was under assault of the devil. Jesus knew the spoken and the written Word of God and He is telling us we need to not only know the voice of God but also the written Word of God in order to trust in the Lord in all the attacks of the enemy against our faith and trust in God.

Living like a carnal man and depending on all the carnal and natural fixes, it won’t be long that we are not trusting in God. Jesus passed the test and stuck with the Word and we will pass the assaults of the enemy on our faith and our trust in God with the same Word as well. You can’t trust God and not hear His voice and know what the Word says.

Our faith and trust in God is under assault night and day and in order for us to trust God as did Jesus, then you need to know what the Spirit is saying to us and what the Word of God tells us is right and that means we need to know the voice of the Spirit of God speaking to us, as did Jesus, and we need to know the Word of God so that in every assault we can use it as Jesus did.

I believe the Lord wanted me to give you a list of things that we CANNOT TRUST in if we are going to trust in the Lord:

• Cannot trust ourselves and our mere human abilities and mere human efforts and our human will and human ways of doing things
• Cannot trust mere human reasoning, intellect, mind educated by this world who doesn’t know God or His ways
• Cannot trust mere human feelings and human emotions that result from seeing things naturally
• Cannot trust people educated by this world without the God factor
• Cannot trust in governments that govern without the God factor
• Cannot trust in political parties whose platforms are totally against the principles of God
• Cannot trust in this Babylonian system that puts the burden on us to bear the weight of our own provision (Matthew 6)
• Cannot trust in money, a job (just over broke), paycheck, salary, social security, savings, etc. (Mt. 6:24 Jesus told us we cannot serve God and mammon or money because whichever one we serve is the one we are going to love and we will hate the other.)
• Can’t trust in debt to get what we need
• Cannot trust in professionals and technology and government for our healthcare
• Can’t trust in education to get us where God wants us to go and what God wants us to do
• Can’t trust in natural man

You may think I am going too far with this but let me remind you of our main scripture and let it remind you of the results of trusting in mere men and trusting in God:

Jeremiah 17:5-8 Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. 7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. AMP

The Word clearly tells us how to trust entirely in the Lord and we can’t argue about it,

Proverbs 3:5-7 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. AMP

So to trust the Lord we have to lean on Him, be confident in Him, in all ways we know, recognize and acknowledge Him, not wise in our own eyes but having a reverent faith and trust in Him. Colossians 1:4 AMP tells us our faith and trust in the Lord is, the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness,…
In Matthew 6 Jesus introduces the Kingdom of God and tells us how to trust God.

Matthew 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right),… AMP

Trusting in natural ways of doing things is not God’s way of doing things and being right. If we trust in working for money then there will never be enough. If we trust in natural man for our health then there may not be a cure and we may have to “just live with it” and we may die before our time. Trusting in self then we will be doing things by trial and error and we can lose everything. Trusting in a government to give us everything, they may give it to us but they may just as easily and quickly take it all away. All of this is to destroy our faith in God and that’s the most important thing we must remember.

Go back and review the list I gave you where not to put your trust for these are the very things that will assault your faith so that you cannot trust God. I hope you will see from this list why you have not been able to have faith and trust in God and you will truly repent to Him and He will help you.
