hungry-for-his-presence-may-2009

There is nothing like being in the presence of the Lord.  The more you spend time with Him the hungrier you become for His presence.  It gets addictive.  That’s the best addiction you can acquire.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. KJV

The word “wait” (Hebrew: gavah) means to bind together by twisting; to expect; to gather together; look patiently for; wait for or upon.

What a blessing to be with the Lord and to wait in His presence, God Almighty but yet Father and Daddy to us.  Waiting in His presence is like a child going into a candy store.  There is excitement, anticipation, rest, hope, and certainly there’s love we can’t experience anywhere else in this world and it is all “free”.  Something we don’t find very much these days, something “free” that is beneficial to us.

Some go to psychics, fortune tellers, tarot cards, etc. to find answers and have to pay a price but we can wait on the Lord anywhere, any time and always get just what we need every time. In times of discouragement, hopelessness, depression, grief and sorrow we can go and wait on Him and receive new strength.  In times of change and times of confusion we can wait in the presence of Wisdom Himself and get the right answers.  Whatever is happening in our lives, we must go into His presence for it will be time well spent. And to truly be connected to Him we can go every day and not because we have a need but because we have found there is no more enjoyable place to be but in His presence.

And as always when you spend time in His presence there are blessings that come while waiting in His presence, Daddy, Love Himself; for after all He just can’t help Himself, being a Giver that He.  In His presence we are assured every time of His salvation, His daily provision, His wisdom, His answers, His instruction, His courage to face each new day, His protection and all the help we could possibly need, His inheritance He has given to us in Christ, His expectant hope we need to live in this world, His justice  in our situations, His renewed strength we can’t get from a pill or any where else, His unearned and undeserved and unconditional blessings  (the blessing of the Garden of Eden, the blessing of Abraham, all the blessings of heaven – Proverbs 10:22 AMP, Ephesians 1:3 AMP, TLB, & TEV), His boldness to face anyone or anything in this world, His unearned and undeserved goodness and grace, and last but not least, we receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

So drop what you are doing and go wait in His presence and have your strength renewed so you will not be weary, faint or give up.  There is no better way to spend your time but with Him.  He is waiting for you right now.
